Among other things, an open-ended wrench comprises a wrench head defining an opening to receive a work piece. The wrench head comprises a first jaw including at least a first surface to engage with a surface of the work piece, a second jaw including a first curved surface facing the opening, and a plate mounted on the second jaw and movable relative the second jaw. The plate comprises at least a second surface to engage with another surface of the work piece. The plate also comprises a second curved surface engaging the first curved surface and being slidable against the first curved surface.

Open-ended ratchet wrench

The formation of devices in semiconductor material is provided using an HF/HCL cleaning process. In one embodiment, the method includes forming at least one hard mask overlaying at least one layer of resistive material, forming at least one opening to a working surface of a silicon substrate of the semiconductor device, and cleaning the semiconductor device with a diluted HF/HCL process. The HF/HCL process includes applying a dilute of HF for a select amount of time and applying a dilute of HCL for a specific amount of time. After cleaning with the diluted HF/HCL process, a silicide contact junction is formed in the at least one opening to the working surface of the silicon substrate, and interconnect metal layers are formed.

Integrated process for thin film resistors with silicides

The formation of devices in semiconductor material is provided using an HF/HCL cleaning process. In one embodiment, the method includes forming at least one hard mask overlaying at least one layer of resistive material. Forming at least one opening to a working surface of a silicon substrate of the semiconductor device. Cleaning the semiconductor device with a diluted HF/HCL process. The HF/HCL process including, applying a dilute of HF for a select amount of time and applying a dilute of HCL for a specific amount of time. After cleaning with the diluted HF/HCL process, forming a silicide contact junction in the at least one of the opening to the working surface of the silicon substrate and forming interconnect metal layers.

The formation of devices in semiconductor material. In one embodiment, a method of forming a semiconductor device is provided. The method comprises forming at least one hard mask overlaying at least one layer of resistive material. Forming at least one opening to a working surface of a silicon substrate of the semiconductor device. Cleaning the semiconductor device with a diluted HF/HCL process. After cleaning with the diluted HF/HCL process, forming a silicide contact junction in the at least one of the opening to the working surface of the silicon substrate and then forming interconnect metal layers.

A wrench has a pair of jaws that are disposed on a handle and spaced to define an opening for a workpiece. A first one of the jaws defines a stationary workpiece engaging surface adjacent the opening, and a plate defining a second workpiece engaging surface adjacent the opening is movably mounted to a second one of the jaws to allow selective movement of the plate relative to the stationary workpiece engaging surface between: a) a first state in which the plate is immobile with respect to the first jaw so that rotation of the handle in a first direction causes the plate and the first jaw to grasp the workpiece between the respective engaging surfaces and turn the workpiece in a first direction, and b) a second state in which the plate is movable with respect to the first jaw so that rotation of the handle in a second, opposite direction causes the plate to move in multiple directions with respect to the first jaw to enable the respective engaging surfaces to slide over the workpiece, thereby allowing the workpiece to remain stationary. Thus, the wrench tightens (or loosens) the workpiece when rotated in the first direction, and slips over the workpiece in a 'ratcheting' manner when rotated in the second, opposite direction.

Open end ratchet wrench

A wrench has a pair of jaws that are disposed on a handle and are spaced to define an opening for a workpiece. A pair of plates, each of which includes a workpiece engaging surface are mounted on the jaws for selective movement between first and second positions. In the first position, the plates are immobile with respect to each other so that rotation of the handle in a first direction causes the plates to grasp the workpiece between the engaging surfaces and turn the workpiece in the first direction. In the second position, a first one of the plates is pivotable with respect to a second one of the plates so that rotation of the handle in a second, opposite direction causes pivoting of the first plate and allows the engaging surfaces to slide over the workpiece, thereby allowing the workpiece to remain stationary. Thus, the wrench tightens (or loosens) the workpiece when rotated in the first direction, and slips over the workpiece in a &ldquo;ratcheting&rdquo; manner when rotated in the second, opposite direction.

A wrench includes a pair of jaws mounted to a handle. A first jaw is mounted for selective actuation by an actuator between a stationary position with respect to a second jaw so that the jaws engage and rotate the workpiece when the wrench handle is rotated, and a movable position with respect to the second jaw so that the jaws disengage and slide over the workpiece (e.g., in a ratchet-like manner) and allow the workpiece to remain stationary when the handle is rotated. The wrench operates in the selected mode of operation (i.e., driving or ratcheting) when the handle is rotated in either direction. Another wrench (which is not bi-directional) features a pair of plates pivotally mounted within cavities in a pair of spaced jaws on the wrench handle. Each plate includes a grasping surface for engaging a face of the workpiece and a curved peripheral surface which slidingly engages a curved bearing surface in the cavity so that the plate can pivot within the cavity. A spring biases the plates toward each other so that the plates engage the workpiece between the grasping surfaces and rotate the workpiece when the handle is rotated in a first direction; the biasing is overcome when the handle is rotated in a second, opposite direction to cause the plates to pivot within the cavities and spread away from the workpiece so that the grasping surfaces slide over the faces of the workpiece, allowing the workpiece to remain stationary.

Open-end ratchet wrench

A squeegee-type cleaning implement has a wiping assembly including a plurality of spaced implements for wiping moisture from the surface to be cleaned, and a handle pivotally connected to the wiping assembly by a hinge. The hinged attachment of the wiping assembly to the handle allows the squeegee to clean the surface (e.g., a window pane) either from top to bottom or from side to side using continuous strokes. The wiping assembly is constructed so that a first one of the implements (which are, e.g., straight blades) precedes a second one of the implements when the implements are wiped over the surface. The first, leading blade is oriented substantially perpendicularly to the surface to maintain the second, trailing blade in contact with the surface at an angle of approximately 45 degrees over the range of travel of the trailing blade across the surface. The blades are spaced by approximately the blade height. As a result, the leading blade helps stabilize the trailing blade on the surface, thereby assuring that the surface will be thoroughly cleaned of water or other liquid in a single pass of the squeegee from top to bottom or side to side.

Hinged squeegee

An open-end ratchet wrench has a pair of elongated plates that are pivotally mounted to a pair of spaced jaws on the wrench handle and that include at least one elongated surface for engaging a face of a workpiece onto which the jaws are inserted. A spring mounted on the handle biases the elongated plates toward each other so that the elongated plates grasp the workpiece between the elongated surfaces and rotate the workpiece when said handle is rotated in a first direction. The biasing of the spring is overcome when the handle is rotated in a second, opposite direction so that the elongated surfaces of the plates slide over faces of the workpiece (e.g., in a ratcheting manner), allowing the workpiece to remain stationary.
