A swinging movement in an impact sport activity, such as golf, tennis, baseball or the like, can be monitored to analyze the skill of the player by a biofeedback mechanism which measures electrical impulses created by activated nerves as muscles tense. The mechanism includes a band adapted to be placed about an arm and/or leg of the player, the band includes a pair of electrodes adapted to contact the muscle, differential amplifier means accepting the electrical voltage from the muscle, means for measuring the amplified voltage, and reporting means affording an indication of the results of the swing, such recorder including a sound emitting device, or a transmitter and computer, recording device, or printer. Preferably, the mechanism also includes a device for signalling the point of impact with an object.

Biofeedback device for monitoring muscular movement

A trailer apparatus includes movable and demountable structures which adapt the trailer for use with large planar sheets of material as well as more conventional loads such as cartons, drums and palletized articles. The trailer includes a plurality of parallel A-frame supports spaced longitudinally along the central portion of the trailer for receiving the planar material. Transversely oriented bars longitudinally restrain the material and straps extending downwardly from the top of the support laterally restrain it. The upper portion of the A-frame supports, as well as the bars and straps are removable. A pair of hinged panels selectively form a trailer floor in the central portion thereof. The sidewalls of the trailer are fixed. The roof is movable to permit loading and unloading of the planar material from above and conventional rear trailer doors provide access therethrough for loading and unloading conventional cargo such as palletized material, cartons, and drums.

Convertible trailer apparatus

A trailer apparatus for transporting planar sheets of material in a substantially vertical position. The trailer includes a plurality of A-frame members symmetrically disposed in parallel spaced-apart relationship along the longitudinal vertical midplane of the trailer. Outwardly extending support beams are secured to the lower termini of the A-frames and adjustable cargo straps which laterally restrain the material extend between the apex of each A-frame member and the respective support beam. A pair of laterally spaced-apart longitudinal rails extend generally the length of the trailer and are secured to the A-frame members. Pairs of transversely extending beams are slidably mounted on the rails and may be moved to engage the edges of the material to longitudinally restrain it.

Apparatus for transporting planar materials

An improved device for securing stacks of large glass sheets for over-the-road movement is disclosed. The device includes a main truck trailer frame providing a floor and generally vertical central support for one or more large sheets in generally vertical position. A fixed guide bar extends the length of the frame behind the central support and laterally extending rails are removably secured to the guide bar adjacent the opposed vertical edges of the sheet. A longitudinal rail is adjustably secured to the outer ends of the lateral rails to extend across the outer face of the sheets and means are provided to draw both the lateral and longitudinal rails against the glass sheets to hold it securely against movement. An especially designed bracket is used to secure the lateral rails to the fixed guide bar and longitudinal rail to also provide for vertical adjustment of the height of the lateral and longitudinal rails to accommodate various sized glass sheets.

Apparatus for transporting glass sheets and the like

An improved structure for transporting on a semi-trailer large sheets of flat rigid material such as large sheets of flat glass. A generally A-shaped platform having sloped sides is secured over a conventional semitrailer frame. Stacks of the material being transported rest on a plurality of rigid girders which project outwardly from the lower edges of the sloped sides. A novel clamping mechanism is adjustable to engage both edges and the side of each material stack during transport and is removable to facilitate loading and unloading the trailer.
