A device for administering a fluid includes a housing that holds a sterilization cassette having a shell, a fluid chamber, and a light transmitting window. An input directs fluid into the chamber. A light source is positioned to direct ultraviolet or other light through the window into the fluid chamber at an intensity sufficient to kill or render non-reproducible at least one species of a microorganism in the fluid while the fluid is in the chamber. An outlet receives fluid from the cassette and directs the fluid to a destination. The fluid is substantially uniformly exposed to the light while in the chamber. The cassette and light source are contained in a housing that prevents light from escaping the housing.

The invention is a wireless communications device, such as a cellular telephone, having sensors to generate data indicative of a physiological or contextual parameters of a user. The system works deriving a physiological or contextual status parameter of an individual using the system. The derivation utilizes two sensed parameters of the individual. The system is able to present the derived parameter in relation to any other sensed parameters, entered information, life activities data, or other derived data.

Rearward discharge holes and forward discharge holes in the head communicate with the passage and discharge douching fluid into the vaginal canal. The rearward discharge holes face proximally toward the applicator body, and the forward discharge holes face distally and outwardly from the head at an angle. Douching fluid discharged into the vaginal canal is directed proximally along a plurality of external head channels of the head toward a plurality of external body channels of the applicator body. Douching fluid is directed proximally along the body channels toward the vaginal opening for exit from the vaginal canal. The vaginal douche and vaginal douche applicator are used in a method of vaginal douching.
