An intake hood system for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) unit includes an intake hood having an inlet configured to receive an air flow into the intake hood, a first support configured to engage a first end of an air filter, and a second support configured to engage a second end of the air filter, where the first support is configured to align with a boundary of the inlet. The intake hood system also includes a lock bar configured to couple to the intake hood while abutting the first support and the second support to secure the air filter within the intake hood.

The present disclosure relates to a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system that includes a drain pan. The drain pan is configured to collect condensate into a basin of the drain pan from an evaporator of the HVAC system and to direct the condensate from the basin via a drain port of the drain pan. A draining surface is formed in the basin and includes a compound slope including a first slope extending along a length of the drain pan and a second slope extending along a width of the drain pan. A raised surface extends from the draining surface and includes protrusions extending from a spine that extends along a side of the drain pan. The raised surface is configured to support the evaporator of the HVAC system.

The present disclosure relates to a heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) unit configured to supply conditioned air to a conditioned space. The HVAC unit includes a first exhaust fan capable of operating at variable speeds and a second constant-speed fan. The HVAC unit also includes a controller configured to determine a target airflow to be provided to the conditioned space, cause actuation of the first exhaust fan at a variable fan speed when the target airflow is greater than zero, and cause actuation of the second exhaust fan when the target airflow is greater than an airflow threshold.

The drain spout is adjustable between a first configuration configured to discharge the condensate from the HVAC unit via a first opening of the HVAC unit and a second configuration configured to discharge the condensate from the HVAC unit via a second opening of the HVAC unit.

A latch assembly for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) enclosure includes a latch having a securement portion configured to couple to an access panel of the enclosure and having a rotational portion. The rotational portion has an engagement feature configured to engage with a tool face or a tool receptacle and the rotational portion has a first retainer adjacent to the engagement feature. The rotational portion is configured to rotate relative to the securement portion such that a locking portion of the rotational portion transitions between a closed configuration and an open configuration. The latch assembly includes a handle accessory having a handle engagement driver configured to engage with the engagement feature of the rotational portion along a first linking axis and having a second retainer configured to couple with the first retainer of the rotational portion along a second linking axis, transverse to the first linking axis.

The present disclosure relates to an HVAC system door assembly that includes a door that includes a panel having a first side and a second side opposite the first side, and a first seal circuit. The first seal circuit is disposed on the first side. The HVAC system door assembly also includes a door frame that includes a second seal circuit. HVAC system door assembly further includes a ridge projecting from one of the first seal circuit or the second seal circuit configured to align with and engage a central portion of the other of the first seal circuit or the second seal circuit when the door is in a closed position with respect to the door frame. The ridge includes a cross-sectional profile having a flattened peak section with sloping side sections that extend from boundaries of the flattened peak section to a base of the ridge.

The HVAC unit also includes a drain port disposed in the base of the basin and arranged such that the drain pan is configured to direct the condensate toward the drain port and out of the basin, a protruded portion extending from an outer surface of a side wall of the plurality of side walls, and a passage proximate to a top edge of the side wall of the plurality of side walls and configured to facilitate overflow of the condensate out of the basin and along the protruded portion.
