Provided are formulations that interact with the skin microbiome of a human patient such that when applied topically in therapeutically effective amounts at prescribed intervals, the formulations cause an increase in skin firmness, density, smoothness, elasticity and thickness resulting in a skin appearance that reflects overall skin health. In exemplary embodiments formulations include, without limitation, the following active components acting in concert with each other: a prebiotic component, a peptide component, a matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) inhibitor component; and an antioxidant component; all present in a carrier base. The exemplary embodiments may be in the form of a cream, a lotion, a serum, or a hydrogel that facilitates delivery of these active components into the skin.

Formulations for enhancing skin firmness, density and thickness

A method transferring drill cuttings, the method comprising transferring the drill cuttings from a pressurized transference device to a pressurized container; transferring the drill cuttings from the pressurized container to a land-based pit discharging station; and discharging the drill cuttings into the land-based pit discharging station. Also, a system for transferring drill cuttings while drilling, the system comprising a pressurized transfer device; a pressurized container in fluid communication with the pressurized transfer device; a conduit disposed between the pressurized transfer device and the pressurized container; and a land-based pit discharging station in fluid communication with the pressurized container.

Drilling waste treatment

A cell migration agent promotes the healing of wounds by promoting movement of fibroblast cells away from the periphery of the wound. The agents can include Indole-3-Acetic acid and its derivatives such as Indole-3-Acetyl-L-Phenylalanine. Significant increases in the migration of fibroblast cells were observed at five days after treatment initiation. When administered in a dosage of between 0.1 and 250 ppm, these compounds appear to have the ability to move healthy human fibroblast cells into areas void of cells more rapidly than if the agent were not present. This results in the plumping of the skin or healing of wounds. The compounds can be delivered by topical or internal methods of application.

Skin aging and wound treatment using cell migration agents

Lightweight acoustic absorbers. The acoustic absorbers absorb energy during launch of a vehicle by a rocket, and are adapted to line the inside of a cavity of a fairing containing a vehicle. The absorbers comprise acoustic absorbing members, and a layer substantially surrounding the acoustic absorbing member which is substantially impermeable to contaminating particulates found within the fairing, and substantially impermeable to any contaminants which may be emitted by the acoustic absorbing member. A plurality of vents are cut in the layer, and a filter is placed over the vents to filter out any contaminants. The vents allow the gases within the fairing and the acoustic absorbing member to pass therethrough, thereby compensating for differential pressure.

A skin blemish treatment combines a base with therapeutically effective amounts of carbamide peroxide and alpha-hydroxy acid ('AHA'). The resulting formulation effectively treats human acne vulgaris while exhibiting none of the severe adverse side effects associated with benzoyl peroxide. The AHA can be any synthetic or naturally occurring alpha-hydroxy acid. Salicylic acid can augment the composition, as can an anti-inflammatory such as allantoin. Fragrance, coloring agents, and preservatives can also be added.

Skin blemish treatment

A compacted baby powder formulation combines an absorbent with a dry compression agent and a liquid or semi-solid material. The resulting formulation reduces the amount of dispersion of the powdered absorbent. The absorbent can be either an organic or non-organic such as corn starch or talc, respectively. The compression agent can be a microcrystalline cellulose or polyethylene. The liquid or semi-solid can be a ester such as a jojoba ester. The formulation can be augmented with additional additives to provide skin protectant, lubricant or anti-septic benefits.

Dustless baby powder

A system and method for taking and developing a fingerprint wherein the subject's fingers are not dirtied or exposed to chemicals. The fingerprint is recorded on a layer of adhesive adhered to a sheet of transparent material. The print is developed by making a copy of it on a sensitized surface by back reflecting radiant energy through the adhesive whereby the print is imaged.
