In an embodiment, a composition comprises a plurality of reactive particles; wherein at least a first portion of the reactive particles comprises a first reactive monomer located in a first matrix polymer; wherein the first reactive monomer comprises a self-reactive monomer or wherein the first reactive monomer can polymerize with a second reactive monomer located in a second matrix polymer of a second portion of the reactive particles to form a coating polymer. In another embodiment, a method of making the plurality of reactive particles, comprises polymerizing a first matrix monomer in the presence of the first reactive monomer; or polymerizing the first matrix monomer to form a plurality of particles and swelling the plurality of particles with the first reactive monomer. In another embodiment, a method comprises cold spraying the plurality of reactive particles.

Reactive particles for coating technologies

A crosslinkable polymer composition includes repeating units of formula (I) and repeating units derived from a monomer having an ethylenically unsaturated group and a crosslinkable functional group, wherein the crosslinkable functional group is capable of forming a covalent linkage with a crosslinkable functional group of an adjacent repeating unit. R' and Rare as defined herein. The crosslinkable polymer composition can be particularly useful, for example, for pressure sensitive adhesive or coating compositions. A method of making the polymer composition and a pressure sensitive adhesive and a coating are also described.

Compositions comprising a) one or more polyester macromers containing one or more chains of the residue of one or more diols and one or more diesters wherein the residue of the one or more diols and the one or more diesters alternate along the chain and a portion of the diesters are 1,1-diester-1-alkenes and at least one terminal end comprises the residue of one of the 1,1-diester-1 alkenes and wherein one or more terminal ends may comprise the residue of one or more diols; and b) one or more polymers having pendant Michael Addition donor groups. Disclosed are coating prepared from these compositions.
