In one example, a system for fitting golf equipment for an individual can be configured to be used with an electronic device comprising a fitting processor module and a camera. The system can comprise an image analysis module configured to receive image data of at least a portion of the individual and one or more physical indicia proximate to the individual, where the image data can be captured by the camera. The image analysis module can also be configured to recognize one or more reference features of the individual from the image data, and to calculate one or more fitting dimensions between the one or more reference features in the image data. Other examples, devices, and related methods are also disclosed herein.

Fitting system for golf equipment using camera image for measurement of individual and related methods

A system and methods for custom-fitting golf clubs and golf club components is disclosed. Data is generated by a tracking device as a plurality of golf swings are performed by an individual. The data comprises motion and orientation information associated with a golf ball and with a golf club. The data is displayed using a graphical user interface. A plurality of shot characteristics is determined from the data. The shot characteristics are used to recommend golf clubs and golf club components that adjust a golfer's swing where the golfer exhibits the plurality of shot characteristics.

Fitting systems for golf equipment using camera image for measurement of individual, and related methods

A golf fitting apparatus can comprise a component option analyzer configured to calculate, based on physical characteristic information of an individual: (a) an initial component option group for a plurality of club components, the initial component option group comprising a first initial component option for a first club component, and a second initial component option for a second club component, (b) a first optimal component option for the first club component based on first golf shot data of a first test club having the first initial component option; and (c) a second optimal component option for the second club component based on second golf shot data of a second test club having the first optimal component option and the second initial component option. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

In one example, a method can comprise (i) receiving, at a processing device, physical characteristic information, performance characteristic information, and shot characteristic information associated with an individual, (ii) calculating, with a component option analyzer of the processing device, a first optimal component of a plurality of components for an optimized golf club for the individual based on at least one of the physical characteristic information, the performance characteristic information, or the shot characteristic information associated with the individual; and (iii) calculating, with the component option analyzer of the processing device, a second optimal component of the plurality of components based on the first optimal component. The processing device may calculate the first optimal option and the second optimal option via the component option analyzer. Other examples and related embodiments are disclosed herein.

Methods apparatus, and systems to custom fit golf clubs

A club head is configured such that the toe thickness is greater than the heel thickness in order to compensate for the toe-down look encountered, for example, in extended-length putters. In accordance with a further aspect of the present invention, the club head body in the heel region is weight-compensated to substantially balance with the toe region. In accordance with one embodiment, a bore configured to accept the shaft is provided at substantially the center of the top rail. In accordance with one embodiment, cut-out regions are provided in the back of the club head body in the toe region and the heel region to provide the required weight compensation.

Methods and apparatus for a toe-up putter club head

A golf putter head includes a face member with a front surface arranged for impacting a golf ball. A first arm extends generally rearwardly from a heel end of the face member, a second arm extends generally rearwardly from a toe end of the face member, and a central member extends rearwardly intermediate the heel and toe ends of the face member. The central member has an inner end adjacent the face member and an outer end spaced from the face member. The central member includes a pair of wings extending in opposite directions at the outer end thereof connecting the central member to the first and second arms rearwardly of the face member. A portion of the central member extends rearwardly of the wings.

A first arm extends substantially rearwardly from a heel end of the face member, a second arm extends substantially rearwardly from a toe end of the face member, and a central member extends rearwardly from the face member intermediate the heel and toe ends thereof. The central member is connected to and extends rearwardly from a back surface of the face member. The central member is connected to the first and second arms rearwardly of the face member. The first and second arms have top surfaces that slope downwardly as the first and second arms extend away from the face member.
