A throwable rotateable rescue device having an outer annular chamber for winding storage of a retrieval cord and a connector therein and a loop therein engaged with a connector and cord, which is maintained in the annular chamber during throwing of the rescue ring to a person in distress, the loop extendable out of the annular chamber when the cord and connector are to be engaged or disengaged from the rescue device.

Rescue device

A multipurpose rapid response rescue device comprising a throwable multipurpose camp and rescue bag that in one mode can be used as multi modal rapid response rescue device, which can be employed instantly to rescue a person in distress and in other modes can be used as a water pail or pillow with the camp and rescue bag containing a throwing weight and a rope therein with a one end of the rope secured to the camp and rescue bag so that when the camp and rescue bag is thrown to a remote area or person in distress and the other end of the rope is hand held the rope unfurls from the camp and rescue bag to provide for retrieval of the camp and rescue bag or an object secured thereto.

A throwable rotateable rescue device with a retrieval cord and a set of peripheral handles that are retained within the rescue ring during storage and throwing of the rescue ring but are automatically extendable to a grasping position without interfering with the rescue device retrieval cord during the flight of the rescue ring thereby enabling a person in distress to easily and quickly grasp the handles and be pulled to safety through the retrieval cord.

A throwable rotatable rescue device having a cord wound therein including a cord reel for storing and unwinding the cord therefrom as the rescue device is thrown. One end of the cord is detachably mounted to the rescue device to enable a person receiving a thrown rescue device to reach into an interior region of the rescue device and detach the cord from the rescue device. Thereafter one can attach the cord to an object that can be retrieved by pulling on the cord.

An ambidextrous rescue device having a slip ring rotateable mounted with respect to the rescue device to permit the slip ring to rotate independently of the rescue device as the rescue device is thrown to thereby enhance the distance the rescue device can be thrown by reducing the spin that needs to be imparted to the rescue device during a throwing motion as well as reducing the tendency of the rescue device to spin out of a victims grasp once the rescue device is retrieved by pulling on the rope attached to the rescue device. A further advantage is that the device can be thrown by either a left hand thrower or a right hand thrower. In another embodiment the rescue device includes an arm girth to automatically cinch a person's extremity to the rescue device as the rescue device is pulled toward the rescuer.

Ambidextrous rescue device

A convertible headwear including a nose brim with the nose brim containing a wind-block material to prevent moisture laden air from being expelled therethrough with an unimpeded opening around the user's mouth and nostrils to permit a person to exhale a moisture laden breath away from the user's face to thereby avoid a feeling of clamminess and to inhibit the fogging of a user's eyeglasses should the user be wearing eyeglasses with the nose brim foldable to condition for blocking access through the headwear when the headwear is used in the neck gator mode.

A binding system for temporarily holding a plurality of individual sheets in a book-like manner with the system having a plurality of individual tabs, each of the tabs having a binding edge, a separation edge, a first surface and a second surface with a flexible binding securing the binding edges of the plurality of individual tabs together as a unit, so the individual tabs can be folded back like a page of a book and an adhesive positioned on said individual tabs to hold a sheet of material thereto as the sheet of material and the tab are folded open like a book.

A rescue device adapted to be thrown long distances through the air with the rescue device having a first asymmetrical-annular member having a cross sectional shape in the form of a airfoil with the outer peripheral edge forming a trailing edge of the airfoil and the inner peripheral edge forming a leading edge of the airfoil and a second asymmetrical-annular member having a cross sectional shape in the of a second airfoil with the outer peripheral edge of the second member forming a trailing edge of the airfoil and the inner peripheral edge of the second annular member forming a leading edge of the airfoil with the two members coacting to allow the rescue device to be thrown accurately over long distances with the rescue device including a set of spacers to hold the first asymmetrical-annular member and the second asymmetrical-annular in a spaced apart parallel relationship to allow a line located between the asymmetrical-annular members to unwind therefrom as the rescue device is thrown to a person in distress.

A hand covering that uses three temporarily securable flaps on its back portion to provide for the extremely easy ingress and egress of a hand while allowing the invention to remain positioned securely upon the wrist throughout, the hand covering having palm, back, and finger portions in the general manner of a standard mitten or glove, the back portion having a first and second flap opposite one another to grip the user's wrist, and a third flap, which normally covers an exit hole for the hand, located opposite the more fingerward end of the second flap, and connecting to the second flap; when the user desires to extract his or her hand from the glove, he or she need only perform a metacarpel flexion motion with the hand and pull upon the finger portion, causing the second and third flaps to unfasten, and creating an automatic point of egress for the hand, the first flap, not affected by the action in the knuckle region, remaining securely fastened to the lower, wristward portion of the third flap, and therefore providing a consistent grip upon the wrist throughout the process of egress; manner of ingress being simply the reverse.

Easy access hand covering

A hand covering (10) for protecting a hand is disclosed. The hand covering (10) includes a hollow flexible body member (11) having a front portion (12) and back portion (13). Four finger stalls (14a-d) having access openings (14e-h) are cooperatively connected to the body member (11) as is a thumb stall (15) having an access opening (15a). A flap portion (16) provides a means for releasably removing a substantial portion of the back portion (13), wherein a closable auxiliary opening is defined which, when said removing means is in an open position, the auxiliary opening extends from the main opening and extends proximate to the knuckles and also exposes the thumb access opening.
