An apparatus includes a drain pan configured to receive liquid condensate from a horizontal evaporator coil above the drain pan and a drain pan extension coupled to the drain pan. A pin on the front and rear sides of the drain pan extension is fitted and movable within a corresponding notch in the front and rear sides of the drain pan. The drain pan extension is securably configurable in a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration, the drain pan extension extends above the drain pan at a first angle relative to the drain pan. In the second configuration, at least a portion of the drain pan extension extends beyond the left pan side of the drain pan at a second angle, which may be selected for improved capture of liquid condensate from the horizontal evaporator coil.

An information handling system housing is manufactured from a laminate material having a stainless steel exterior and magnesium interior that are encapsulated with injection molding. A thin sheet of stainless steel is formed to have a lip that meets against the magnesium and is secured in place with injection molding material. A power connects at an information handling system housing through a rotational connector that allows the power cable to align with plural axes relative to the housing. For example, force applied to the cable causes the rotational connector to rotate from a rear surface of the housing to a side surface or bottom surface of the housing. Excessive force results in a breakaway mechanism releasing the rotational connector from the housing so that the connector and internal power subsystem components avoid damage.

A holder for a pump-type bottle dispenser includes a base section and an adjustable section capable of moving with respect to each other to adapt to dispenser size and/or shape. The adjustable section suitably includes a neck or other extension that supports the neck of the dispenser, and the bottom of the dispenser rests upon the base member as appropriate. The adjustable section is held in place with respect to the base section by a locking mechanism that may include teeth or other extensions on one of the sections that interface with indentations in the other section to provide a lock against further movement. A post or other support may also be provided to secure the holder against a sink, countertop or other support. Such a holder is particularly useful for soap dispensers and the like which may be provided in public facilities such as vehicle lavatories.

A pneumatic energy absorbing arrangement, for use between the bumper and the frame of an automobile, includes a piston and cylinder combination which provides for an increasing amount of force or energy absorbed in relation to an increasing amount of travel between the piston and cylinder combination and, therefore, of the automobile itself. Exhaustion of the air within the piston cylinder combination is accomplished by a decreasing area of vent holes as the travel of the piston and cylinder increases. A specific or variable rate spring is provided to bias the piston and cylinder arrangement in an extended before-impact condition and absorb energy. The energy absorption device provided by this invention is reusable in that it is not destroyed during an impact.

Pneumatic shock absorber for an automobile bumper having venting means

A motor vehicle steering system having first and second linkage assemblies, each pivotally coupled to a steerable wheel to exert simultaneous pushes or pulls, depending upon the direction of a vehicle turn. The first linkage assembly has an inboard end which is pivotally coupled to a first T-shaped track-inducing member which is connected to the steering box of the vehicle. The second linkage assembly is connected to a second T-shaped track-inducing member. Ends of the track-inducing members opposite to the linkage assemblies are joined by an arm. Rotation of a vehicle steering wheel causes the first track-inducing member to rotate about a vertical axis defined by the steering box. The joinder of the track-inducing members results in displacements of the inboard ends of the linkage assemblies. Because the connections at the opposed ends of each track-inducing member are out of phase by less than 180.degree., displacements of the linkage assemblies along an axis parallel to the side-to-side extension of the vehicle are dissimilar, and both the first and second steerable wheels track the turn center of the vehicle.

Steering system for tracking of wheels

A steering and suspension system which steers and tracks all wheels of a vehicle and banks the vehicle body during turns. Front and rear power assisted rack and pinion steering assemblies are mechanically linked so that the rear wheels are turned in the opposite direction of the front wheels relative to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The power assistance turns the radially inward wheels to a greater degree than the radially outward wheels. A pendulous mass is suspended from the vehicle body to react to centrifugal force and is operationally linked to a camber and attitude adjustment spool valve to regulate fluid flow to front and rear camber pistons and to hydraulic shock absorbers. The spool valve responds to swing of the pendulous mass to channel fluid to the camber pistons which cause the vehicle wheels to lean into a turn. Moreover, the spool valve channels fluid to the shock absorbers that are radially outward of a curve to bank into a turn. The pendulous mass also reacts to gravitational pull to detect straight-line driving on a laterally sloped road, thereby affecting the spool valve to transmit fluid to the hydraulic shock absorbers which are associated with depressed side of the vehicle until the vehicle body is leveled.
