An agricultural composition of a garlic extract solution having a concentration greater than 10% by weight of a garlic extract of the garlic extract solution is disclosed. Also disclosed is an agricultural composition of a garlic extract having a concentration of greater than 10% by weight of a garlic extract and a treatment agent. So further disclosed is a method of making a garlic extract of a predetermined concentration. The method includes determining the amount of a garlic puree, separating a substantial amount of a garlic extract from the garlic puree, and adding an inert liquid to the garlic extract to form a predetermined concentration of the extract.

Garlic composition for foliar applications

A process for the improvement of hydrocarbon fuels using a low temperature and pressure catalytic system is described. The reforming of these products occurs when the hydrocarbon fuel is passed over an alloy metal catalyst at low temperature (i.e., about -50.degree. F. to 250.degree. F.) and pressure (i.e., about 10 to 100 psia). The alloy metal catalyst is housed in a non-electrical conducting chamber and is operated with fluid Reynolds Numbers over the catalyst surface of about 2.times.10.sup.3 to 20.times.10.sup.4. The hydrocarbon fuel is recirculated over the alloy metal catalyst between 1 and approximately 100 times. This process results in reformed hydrocarbon fuels having superior performance qualities than the base hydrocarbon fuel. Vehicle road tests using such reformed fuels have shown substantial mileage improvements over the base fuels.

Method and apparatus for catalytic low temperature air pressure

A stationary or mobile process for the selective production of aromatics, olefins and saturates from commercially available light hydrocarbon fuels using a low temperature and pressure catalytic system is described. The reforming of these products occur when the hydrocarbon fuel is passed over a dissimilar metal catalyst, preferably containing nickel and copper at low temperature (i.e., about -50.degree. F. to 250.degree. F.) and pressure (i.e., about 10 to 100 psia). The dissimilar metal catalyst is housed in a non-electrical conducting chamber and is operated with fluid Reynolds Numbers over the catalyst surface of between 2.times.10.sup.3 and 20.times.10.sup.4. The hydrocarbon fuel is recirculated, by means of a constant speed pump, over the dissimilar metal catalyst between 1 and approximately 100 times. This process results in reformed hydrocarbon fuels having superior performance qualities than the base hydrocarbon fuel. Vehicle road tests using such reformed fuels have shown substantial mileage improvements over the base fuels.

Method for catalytic low temperature and pressure reforming of light

Method of reducing NO.sub.x in fuel rich combustion effluents is provided comprising introducing urea at temperatures in excess of about 1900.degree. F. in the presence of excess fuel, wherein said urea is introduced either as a solid or solution in amounts sufficient to reduce the NO.sub.x concentration.

Apparatus for the diacritic cracking of heavy hydrocarbon feeds includes a combustor for burning a fuel, to provide the hot combustion products to the reactor. The combustor is water cooled and includes gas filming with an appropriate gas such as N.sub.2 or CO.sub.2 to avoid coking in the combustor by preventing impingement of the fuel and combustion products on the combustor walls. The reactor is of reduced cross-section, also preferably utilizing gas filming to avoid coking on the reactor walls. Feed stock injectors are provided adjacent the reactor inlet. Adjacent the outlet end of the reactor is a quench section designed for the rapid injection of a quench fluid to reduce the stream temperature below that at which further cracking will take place, with the quench injectors also being gas filmed to avoid the coking thereof. Thereafter a tubular heat exchanger is provided to remove additional heat from the primary flow stream from the reactor for recovery purposes, the heat exchanger again using gas filming to minimize the build-up of coking and tar build-up, particularly encouraged by the rapidly decreasing temperatures. The gaseous products are then further quenched and cooled for processing by conventional means.

Method for reducing NO.sub.x in combustion effluents comprising introducing urea at elevated temperatures in the presence of oxygen, either as a solid or solution in amounts sufficient to reduce the NO.sub.x concentration. Conveniently, the urea may be introduced as a solid powder or as a solution in a hydroxylic solvent, at temperatures in excess of 1300.degree. F. and in the presence of at least 0.1 volume percent oxygen. This invention was made under contract with or supported by the Electric Power Research Institute.

Urea reduction of NO.sub.x in combustion effluents

A continuous process for the selective production of ethylene by the diacritic cracking of heavy hydrocarbon feeds such as residual oils, heavy vacuum gas oils, atmospheric gas oils, crude oils and coal-derived liquids. The diacritic cracking takes place in a non-tubular multi-zone reactor at elevated pressures (e.g. 70-1000 p.s.i.a.) A fuel is combusted with oxygen in the first section of the multi-zone reactor. The high temperature products of combustion of the first zone pass into a second section of the reactor where the feed is atomized and cracked to yield products including ethylene, acetylene and synthesis gas. The reaction products of the second zone then pass into a third section in which they are quenched. In each stage of the reactor the present process seeks to prevent the build-up of coke deposits on the walls of the reactor. In the first two stages, a film of gas such as CO.sub.2 or N.sub.2 is injected along the inner walls to prevent build-up of coke. In the quench section, the liquid material introduced as the quenching fluid also acts as a barrier to prevent coking.
