A disposable absorbent article comprising a front waist region, a rear waist region, and a crotch region, wherein said absorbent article further comprises at least three discrete elements each comprising at least one visible surface; wherein at least three or more of the visible surfaces comprise an imparted color wherein said colors are color matched. Color matching exists when said colors are contained within a specified CIELab color space volume, have a specified hue difference, or total color difference.

Absorbent articles herein may include components having graphics including unmasked and masked zones, wherein the masked zones are defined by alternating arranged printed and unprinted regions. The masked zones give the appearance that the graphics fade or gradually transition from areas of relatively high print intensities in the unmasked zones to areas of relatively low print intensities. In addition, the graphics may be printed with relatively constant print densities in both masked and unmasked zones, and thus, avoid many of the unintended negative effects and difficulties associated with printing graphics with faded zones of print intensities. As such, substrates and/or components to be incorporated into manufactured absorbent articles include graphics include masked zones that may be positioned and/or printed in such a manner so as to functionally reduce noticeable visible results of imprecise and/or inconsistent assembly operations performed in areas where the graphics are located.

The present disclosure relates to absorbent articles and methods for assembling absorbent articles having a design including: a first graphic extending along a first component, a second graphic extending along a second component, and a discontinuous region separating the first graphic from the second graphic. The discontinuous region is configured to provide the appearance that the first and second graphics form a contiguous design while at the same time mitigating the need to precisely align the graphics on separated components to form a contiguous design during the assembly process.

A disposable absorbent article includes one or more regions. The absorbent article also includes at least three discrete elements. Each of the three discrete elements includes at least one visible surface, and at least three or more of the visible surfaces include an imparted color. The imparted color may include colors that are color matched. Color matching exists when said colors are contained within a specified CIELab color space volume, have a specified hue difference, or total color difference.

The present invention relates in one aspect to absorbent articles that maintain or increase fluid acquisition rates when subjected to successive fluid loads. In another aspect, the invention relates to an absorbent article useful for absorbing discharges of aqueous body fluids which has a fluid pervious topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core, the absorbent core including at least one upper storage component in direct fluid communication with the topsheet capable of expanding in the z-direction to form a fluid acquisition zone when contacted with aqueous body fluids, the acquisition zone being at least partially surrounded by the upper fluid storage component and beneath the fluid discharge region of the core, and a fluid acquisition/distribution component having at least a portion positioned underneath and in fluid communication with the storage component and acquisition zone.
