An improved discontinuous reception (DRX) mechanism is disclosed. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed comprising receiving a request to attach to a cellular network from user equipment (UE). The method then identifies a group identifier associated with the UE and determines a DRX parameter based on the group identifier. Finally, the method transmits the DRX parameter to the UE.

Differentiated discontinuous reception based on network services

A system described herein may provide for the use of artificial intelligence/machine learning ('AI/ML') techniques to generate models for various locations or regions (e.g., sectors) associated with one or more radio access networks ('RANs') of a wireless network. The system may further use AI/ML techniques to generate interference models to reflect types and/or amounts of radio frequency (&#x201c;RF&#x201d;) interference measured within the RAN. The system may further determine, based on received RF metrics for a given sector, a particular interference model associated with the sector. Based on a sector model associated with the sector and the determined interference model, one or more actions may be determined in order to remediate any potential interference associated with the sector or surrounding sectors.

Systems and methods for interference management in a radio access network

A system described herein may provide for the use of artificial intelligence/machine learning ('AI/MIL') techniques to generate models for various locations or regions (e.g., sectors) associated with one or more radio access networks ('RANs') of a wireless network. The system may further use AI/ML techniques to generate interference models to reflect types and/or amounts of radio frequency (&#x201c;RF&#x201d;) interference measured within the RAN. The system may further determine, based on received RF metrics for a given sector, a particular interference model associated with the sector. Based on a sector model associated with the sector and the determined interference model, one or more actions may be determined in order to remediate any potential interference associated with the sector or surrounding sectors.

A device may receive a radio resource control (RRC) connection reestablishment request. The device may select one or more potential source base stations, from which to request a user equipment (UE) context associated with a user equipment, based on the RRC connection reestablishment request and an identification technique associated with locating the UE context. The device may request the UE context from the one or more potential source base stations. The device may obtain the UE context from a particular source base station, of the one or more potential source base stations, based on requesting the UE context. The device may establish an RRC connection with the user equipment using the UE context.

Determining a user equipment context for a radio resource control connection reestablishment request

A device may receive information regarding a communication session associated with a user device and may determine, based on the received information, a type of communication session associated with the communication session. The device may determine, based on the determined type of communication session, handover parameters associated with the communication session and may transmit the handover parameters to the user device. The device may receive information associated with the signal information for one or more other devices and may initiate, based on the received information, a handover operation associated with the user device.
