The device portal management system may store first discovery data for a first computing device and second discovery data from a second computing device. A user associated with the first computing device and the second computing device may access the discovery data via the device portal management system. The user may further configure the first computing device and the second computing device via the device portal management system.

Systems and methods for providing one or more secure services are disclosed. One method can comprise authenticating and/or authorizing a user device to receive a security token. Systems and methods for providing secure services

Some aspects of the methods and systems presented relate to performing stateless address translation between IPv4 capable devices to IPv6 capable networks and devices. Stateless address translation may form a new IPv6 addresses by combining the IPv4 address of a device with an IPv6 prefix address assigned to the translator. The translation may also combine the IPv4 destination address and UDP port information with the new IPv6 address. Existing Domain Name Systems (DNSs) may be leveraged for resolving the IPv4 and IPv6 addresses across different networks.

Systems and methods for managing a network are disclosed. One method can comprise determining presence of a first network device associated with a network. If the first network device is not present, a second network device can be configured to assume authority of the network. If the first network device is present, the second network device can be configured to join the network. Dynamic network awareness

A method of initializing, provisioning, and managing a cable modem and a customer premise equipment device includes sending a customized configuration file to the cable modem. The configuration file contains service provisioning information and further includes information indicative of a network address type for the customer premise equipment device. A message is passed from the cable modem to the customer premise equipment device indicative of the network address type. The customer premise equipment device is provided with a network address in accordance with the network address type indicated in the message. In this way, the customer premise equipment device knows what kind of address to obtain, and excessive transactions are avoided.

A method and system for implementing domain name services (DNS) is described. In one aspect a query from a user device for access to a particular resource record may be received and forwarded to an authoritative DNS device. A reply to the query may be received from the authoritative DNS device. Information of the reply also may be distributed to other DNS devices.

Domain name services servers management to share data efficiently

Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for routing messages in a network. Gateways may be selectively chosen to forward messages from a user device to a network server. Gateways may forward messages based on forwarding priorities for the user device. The forwarding priorities may, for example, indicate a repeat count threshold for a quantity of times the gateway may receive a message from a particular user device before the gateway forwards the message.

Prioritized message routing

A first computing device may authenticate itself to a second computing device by providing a verifier value based on a private key. The verifier value may be sent to the second computing device, and a session key may be determined based on the private key. A secure message may comprise routing information associated with the first computing device and a hash value based on the routing information and the session key, and the first computing device may communicate with the second computing device using the session key.
