A pet toy includes a ring shaped peripheral body and an interior dispenser. An interior curved engaging surface of the peripheral body engages an exterior spherical surface of the dispenser. A curvature of the interior engaging surface allows the dispenser to continuously roll or rotate, yet maintain engagement with the peripheral body when the peripheral body is displaced by contact. The dispenser is hollow thereby defining a chamber to receive treats. One or more dispensing openings are provided on the dispenser to selectively dispense treats. The openings can be sized to selectively dispense treats of various sizes and shapes. The invention further includes a method of dispensing treats from a pet toy and a combination comprising the pet toy and selected treats loaded within the chamber.

A pet toy includes two distinct noisemaking elements. The first element includes an air tube and reed housed within a middle section of the toy. Rotation of the pet toy activates noise by the air tube and reed. The second element includes a squeaker mounted within a compressible dome. Compression or re-inflation of the dome activates noise by the squeaker. A method includes providing a pet toy with the two distinct noisemaking elements and presenting the pet toy to an animal resulting in enhanced interaction with the animal by multiple sounds produced by the pet toy.

The present invention is directed to a portable feeding apparatus or bowl, more particularly to a travel feeding apparatus for pets having a hinged lid that converts to legs for supporting the bowl in an upright manner. The hinged lid has a lock for locking the lid in a closed position.

A treat dispensing pet toy comprises a hub assembly having first and second hubs and an axle interconnecting the hubs. A barrel is mounted over the axle and is disposed between the hubs. The barrel has an interior chamber to hold treats. A treat dispensing opening is formed on the barrel and communicates with the interior chamber. When the pet toy is contacted with sufficient force, the hub assembly and barrel independently rotate thereby establishing a rotational differential. Treats fall through or are otherwise ejected from the opening in the barrel. According to a method of dispensing treats, the barrel and hub assembly independently rotate at different rotational speeds to affect the rate of dispensing treats.

A pet toy includes an inner layer or shell; an outer layer or shell; a noise producing center layer and a noise making element. When the outer shell is deflected or compressed by contact, the center layer is also deflected thereby producing a first sound. The noise making may be a squeaker supported within an interior chamber of the toy. When the outer shell is deflected or compressed by contact, the squeaker produces a second different sound.

A pet toy includes an anchor member and at least one ring member connected thereto. The ring member has a noise making device. In one embodiment, the noise producing feature includes a squeaker protected within a housing disposed within the interior of the toy. In another embodiment, the noise producing feature includes multiple layers of material with one of the layers producing sound. When an outer shell of the ring member is deflected or compressed by contact, noise is produced by the noise making device.

A pet toy incorporates distinct materials having differing elastomeric features and others. The pet toy has an inner member and an outer shell that covers selected portions of the inner member such that an exposed exterior surface of the toy includes both portions of the inner member and outer shell. The inner member is more elastic or compressible as compared to the outer shell that is stiffer or more resilient. Yet, the outer shell still maintains an elastomeric response to contact. A noise making device may be mounted within an interior chamber of the outer shell. The inner member has a central opening to receive the chamber housing that interlocks the inner member and outer shell. Exposed portions of the inner member may be flush with the outer surface of the outer shell or may protrude beyond the exterior surface.

The present invention is directed to a portable feeding apparatus or bowl, more particularly to a travel feeding apparatus for pets having a collapsible bowl for holding food and water and legs that fold-in for easy storage.

Traveling feeding apparatus

A pet toy with one or more treat holding receptacles is provided. A receptacle generally conforms to the outer surface or shape of the pet toy, and extends into the interior of the pet toy for holding a primary treat. The receptacle has a plurality of interior engaging surfaces that frictionally hold the primary treat in a desired orientation. An opening is formed through the receptacle for loading secondary treats into an interior of the pet toy. The primary treat has an exposed portion shaped and sized to provide a desired degree of difficulty for an animal to remove the primary treat from the corresponding receptacle. The portion of the primary treat in contact with the engaging surfaces of the receptacle forms a cap or closure, and when all or part of the primary treat is removed, the secondary treats may be dispensed through the opening of the receptacle.
