A system includes power saving circuitry to revive a system controller from a sleep mode for performance of operations in an active mode. The system also includes a regulator including a floating gate reference device to generate output voltage and current capable of powering the power saving circuitry during the sleep mode. A method includes generating a reference voltage and current with a float gate device, and powering wake-up circuitry with the reference voltage and current while in a power saving mode. The wake-up circuitry is configured to activate a main system controller from the power saving mode.

Floating gate reference for sleep/hibernate regulator

A transmission gate logic circuit () can include a supply path () connected to an output of a passgate (). A boost path () can be situated between an input of passgate () and the supply path () and can enable a first supply device (-) within the supply path () in response to a signal C at the input of passgate (). A supply path () can thus provide a boost at the output node () of passgate () resulting in faster logic transition times.

An asynchronous memory device includes parallel test circuitry configured to interface with a single-ended output data path of the memory device and, in some cases, to provide a measure of a slowest cell access time for the memory device. The parallel test circuitry may include first circuitry configured to receive logic signals from a plurality of cells of the memory device and to provide first output signals indicative of logic states of the plurality of cells; and second circuitry configured to receive the first output signals and to produce a second output signal indicative of the logic states of the first output signals therefrom. For example, the first circuitry and the second circuitry may be configured as a wired NAND and wired NOR combination. In some cases, one or more of the cells may be included within a redundant row or column of the memory device. The first circuitry may include one or more circuits, each including an input path from a first number of the plurality of cells and configured to provide at least one of the first output signals. The second circuitry may include logic circuitry configured to receive the first output signals and a control signal and to provide the second output signal. For example, the second circuitry may include an exclusive OR circuit coupled to receive the first output signals and to produce the second output signal.

Parallel test in asynchronous memory with single-ended output path

A circuit for providing substantially a constant delay of an electrical signal that compensates for voltage, temperature and process variations includes an inverter. A delay cell has an output that is coupled to the inverter. The delay cell includes a charge transistor coupled to a capacitor. A control circuit has an output that is coupled to a gate of the charge transistor. The output has a voltage that is proportional to a trip voltage of the inverter. The delay cell also has a discharge transistor. The control circuit contains a second output that is coupled to a gate of the discharge transistor. The second output has a voltage that is also proportional to the trip voltage of the inverter.

Circuit to provide a time delay

An apparatus comprising a first bus, a second bus, a memory and one or more interconnections. The memory may be connected to the first bus and the second bus and may be configured to transfer data over the first bus and the second bus. The one or more interconnections may be connected between one or more data lines of the first bus and the second bus to control a bit-width of the first and second buses.

An asynchronous memory device includes parallel test circuitry configured to provide a measure of a slowest bit access time for the device. The parallel test circuitry may include first circuitry configured to receive logic signals from a plurality of cells of the device and to provide first output signals indicative of logic states of the plurality of cells. The parallel test circuitry may also include second circuitry configured to receive the first output signals and to produce second output signals indicative of logic states of the first output signals therefrom. The parallel test circuitry may be the same circuitry used in the read path of the memory device, and may be configured such that the second output signals are produced at the slowest bit access time. The plurality of cells tested may include a redundant cell of the device. Such redundancy is transparent to the test circuitry. In a further embodiment, a plurality of cells of an asynchronous memory device may be read in parallel and an output signal indicative of a logical combination of logic states of the plurality of cells and a test signal at the speed of the slowest cell access time produced thereby.

Parallel test for asynchronous memory

A circuit comprising a memory array and a logic circuit. The memory array may be configured to read or write data in response to (i) one or more enable signals and (ii) a global signal. The logic circuit may be configured to generate the enable signals in response to one or more address signals. De-assertion of the enable signals generally reduces current consumption in the memory array.

A circuit comprising a first and second bitline, a plurality of groups of memory cells and a control circuit. The first and second bitlines may each be configured to read and write to one or more of the plurality of groups of memory cells. Each of the plurality of bitline pairs may be interdigitated. The control circuit may be configured to select an active group of said plurality of groups in response to one or more control signals. The control circuit may be implemented within the groups of memory cells.
