Audio amplifier

An input driver stage for an audio power amplifier wherein the amplifier incorporates only N-channel VFETs in the output stage, the invention locks the currents in second stage (via a closed loop) which is directly connected to the VFET output stage thus allowing precise open loop predictive temperature compensated programming of the quiescent operating point of the VFET output stage into an acceptable linear area of operation--without fettering the amplifiers inherent straight forwardness OF implementation or the amplifiers excellent signal amplification characteristics.

Driver for N-channel VFET output stage of power amplifier

A bipolar output transformer for use in a automobile audio amplifier. The transformer includes series connected primary and secondary windings and a diode bridge which together step up an input voltage providing an increased bipolar output voltage for efficient interface to the direct coupled power amplifier components.

Series coupled non-isolated bipolar transformer within automotive power

A simplified amplifier housing and mounting system, the housing comprising three components, a top member having a top wall and two lateral walls, and two bottom members which together form a base wall, each bottom member also providing an end wall for the housing. Electrically isolating mounting extensions are removably secured to the under surface of the base wall for mounting adjustment purposes.
