A vibration-isolating system for mounting a cathode ray tube monitor to an enclosed audio base includes an annular vibration-isolating grommet having an axial bore; a snap cap including an annular portion having a surface for supporting the grommet and an axial aperture, at least two legs extending substantially perpendicularly from the annular portion opposite the surface astride the aperture to distal ends, and a nub extending radially from the distal end of each leg; and an elongated member configured to fit about the legs, through the axial aperture and through the axial bore, and to attach to a cathode ray tube housing.

Audio enclosure assembly mounting system and method

An integrated mounting solution provides a plurality of mounting connections in close proximity to the appliance, and one or more appliances with a compatible, mating mounting connection. In a preferred form, the mounting connections are integrated with the appliance and may take the form of a series of hole, or perhaps projections. In a particularly preferred form, the mounting connections are a series of holes arranged vertically and positioned in a recess designed into the appliance so that the mounting connections are not a prominent aspect of the visual impact of the appliance, yet are readily available for securing an accessory.

Method and apparatus for mounting an accessory on an appliance

A modular monitor architecture based on a CRT comprises a base, a tilt/swivel module, a display module, and an input module. The base is coupled to and supports the tilt/swivel module. The display module is mounted on the tilt/swivel module and also defines a cavity for receiving the input module. The input module is attached to the display module in the cavity. Each module may take a variety of forms depending on the features that are provided by a particular variant. The tilt/swivel module may have a first form that provides the coupling that allows rotation and tilting of the display module or a second form that provides audio input and output in addition to the mobility features of the first form. Similarly, the display module has a first form for housing a smaller sized CRT and a second form for housing a larger sized CRT. Finally, the input module may have three forms: one for no input, a second for audio input or alternatively IR input, and an third for audio and video input.

Modular monitor architecture

A mixed mail processing machine comprising a series of modules for performing mail processing functions on the mail pieces as they are transported, oriented horizontally, along a feed deck bordered by a reference surface for registering the mail piece edges, the feed deck being tilted by an angle of 4.degree.-6.degree. off of a horizontal plane for utilizing the assistance of gravity forces to maintain the mail pieces registered.
