Oral care implement handle

An oral care system that includes an oral care implement and a tracking attachment. The oral care implement may include a handle and a head. The tracking attachment is detachably coupled to the oral care implement. The tracking attachment may include an outer casing having an outer surface and a connection element that is configured to mate with a connection element on a handle of the powered oral care implement to couple the outer casing to the handle. The tracking attachment may further include a plurality of visual markers protruding from the outer surface of the outer casing.

Replacement head for a toothbrush

An oral care refill head and an oral care kit comprising the same. The oral care refill head may include a sleeve portion, a head portion, and an elastomeric prophy cup. The sleeve portion may have an inner surface that defines an internal cavity for receiving a portion of a stem of an oral care implement handle therein so that the oral care refill head can be repetitively attached to and detached from the oral care implement handle. The elastomeric prophy cup may comprise an outer surface that forms at least a portion of a peripheral side surface of the head portion. The elastomeric prophy cup may be formed by injection molding an elastomeric material onto a support portion of the head portion. The oral care refill head may be packaged together with a store of an anti-sensitivity oral care material to form a kit.

Oral care implement

An oral care system with coaching features. The oral care system may include indicator units to indicate to a user when plaque is present on the oral surfaces and to indicate to a user when it is time to move to a different area of the oral cavity for cleaning. The oral care system may include a feature whereby a user can silence the indicator function so as not to be alerted of the detection of plaque or other oral maladies during a cleaning session. The oral care system may include a light ring which surrounds a button on the handle to inform a user about the amount of time elapsed during a cleaning session.

A toothbrush includes a handle, a head at a distal end of the handle comprising a bristle plate, a hole extending through the bristle plate, a plurality of bristles at least partially disposed in the hole and extending from the hole in a direction away from the head, and a reservoir in fluid communication with the hole. Fluid in the reservoir enters the tuft holes and is wicked out of the head of the toothbrushes by capillaries formed between the bristles.

The internal cavity may extend along a sleeve axis from an open bottom end at the proximal end of the sleeve portion to a closed top end, the internal cavity being configured to receive an attachment portion of a stem of an oral care implement handle. The internal cavity may have a proximal section adjacent the open bottom end and a distal section adjacent the closed top end. The distal section of the internal cavity may include a central portion located on the sleeve axis and at least one slot portion radially extending from the central portion.

An oral care system that includes an oral care implement and a tracking attachment. The oral care implement may include a handle and a head. The tracking attachment is detachably coupled to the oral care implement. The tracking attachment may include a first component comprising a first housing having an inner surface that defines a first cavity and a second component comprising a second housing having an inner surface that defines a second cavity. When the tracking attachment is coupled to the oral care implement, a first portion of the handle is positioned within the first cavity and a second portion of the handle is positioned within the second cavity.

In one aspect, the method for oral care includes a) receiving sensor data from at least one sensor configured to detect motion of an oral care device during a brushing routine of a user, the sensor data corresponding to the detected motion; and b) determining a target brushing time based on the sensor data. In another aspect, the method for oral care includes a) receiving sensor data from at least one sensor configured to detect brushing intensity during a brushing routine of a user, the sensor data corresponding to the detected brushing intensity; and b) determining a target brushing time based on the sensor data.

Oral care system and method

An oral care implement including a handle and a replacement head that is detachably coupled to the handle. The oral care implement may include a handle having a longitudinal axis that includes a gripping portion and a stem extending from the gripping portion. The gripping portion may have a shoulder that circumferentially surrounds the stem and an annular rib protruding from the shoulder. The replacement head may have a sleeve portion terminating in a proximal edge that is formed from a resilient material. The replacement head may be detachably coupled to the handle so that the annular rib of the shoulder and the proximal edge of the sleeve portion that is formed of elastomeric material are in contact with one another.

An oral care implement including a handle and an oral care refill head. The handle has a gripping portion, an engagement component coupled to a distal end of the gripping portion, and a stem. The engagement component includes a plate portion and a first engagement feature. The stem extends through an opening in the engagement component and protrudes from the plate portion. The oral care refill head includes an oral care treatment portion and a sleeve portion. The sleeve portion has an inner surface that defines a sleeve cavity having a cavity axis and a second engagement feature. When the oral care refill head is detachably coupled to the handle, the first and second engagement features mate with one another to at least one of: (1) position the oral care refill head and the handle in an operational alignment; and (2) lock the oral care refill head to the handle.
