A check valve is provided having a seat and a poppet. The seat is made of a plastic material, has an aperture for enabling fluid to flow through the seat, and also has one end portion that has a circumferential edge with a thin sealing lip. The poppet is slidably arranged in the aperture of the seat and has an elastic member. The poppet is configured for opening to enable fluid to flow in one direction when fluid pressure is detected. The elastic member is configured for ensuring sealing between an outer surface of the poppet and the thin sealing lip of the seat when there is no fluid flow in the one direction so as to substantially prevent fluid flow in the opposite direction. According to some embodiments of the present invention, the thin plastic sealing lip may have a thickness of about 0.01&#x2033; Embodiments are also envisioned where the thickness may be in a range of 0.003&#x2033;-0.03&#x2033;.

A pressure intensifier including reciprocating pistons located in respective piston chambers, and a valve mechanism which reciprocates corresponding to movement of the pistons. A pressurized fluid is received by the intensifier and is routed to the piston chambers via movement of the valve mechanism to drive the pistons for boosting pressure of an outgoing fluid. Thus, the pressure of the incoming fluid is used to boost the pressure of the outgoing fluid.

The present invention provides a device for turning off a pump. In operation, when the device is activated there is vacuum pressure in a syrup chamber. A diaphragm acting in response to the vacuum causes a piston assembly in the syrup chamber to move in the one direction (e.g. right), thus compressing a W-shaped spring in the air chamber. As the piston assembly moves, a spring holder of the W-shaped spring also moves to the one direction. As the W-shaped spring is compressed over and passed the most compressed position, the W-shaped spring moves a valve assembly in the air chamber to an opposite direction (e.g. left) and blocks a hole in a spool that otherwise allows air to pass through the air chamber to activate the pump. When the air is stopped, this turns off the pump.

A mounting bracket may include a base plate, at least one stationary clip disposed on the base plate, a push releasing plate disposed in spaced apart relation to the at least one stationary clip, and at least one movable clip operatively coupled to and movable with the push releasing plate. The stationary clip or clips and movable clip or clips are disposed and configured to mate with cavities in respective ends of a pump when the push releasing plate is in a non-pivoted position.

The present invention provides a method and apparatus for separating air from a fluid, such as syrup, as the fluid enters a first chamber of a system; passing the fluid from the first chamber to a second chamber via a first device; passing the air from the first chamber to the second chamber via a second device so as to reintroduce the air back into the fluid and form a new fluid mixture having more uniform air bubbles; and discharging the new fluid out of the system.

A constant-pressure pump controller system for maintaining a substantially uniform discharge pressure of liquid output from a pump operated by an electric motor and where liquid is delivered to a plurality of simultaneously-operating downstream outlets. The system provides a pressure transducer for sensing discharge pressure from the pump, and includes a piston bearing a magnet for Hall effect interaction. To accomplish Hall effect sensing, an electric current carrier is situated to interact with the magnet for production of Hall voltage which is monitored by a voltage sensor in communication with a controller that regulates motor speed in accord with Hall-effect sensed need through pulse width modulation in response to the voltage value according to proportional integral derivative methodology. Finally, a pump input voltage sensor and regulator maintain a constant voltage output to the pump should voltage input be variable.
