A method of and system for dispensing material from a dispenser into an area of interest, wherein an interrogation step takes place prior to the dispensing of the material for the satisfaction of at least one criterion relating to the presence/absence of one or more objects, and upon the failure to satisfy the at least one criterion, inhibiting the dispensing of the material to be dispensed until the one or more criterions are satisfied.

Dispensing system

An insect bait station comprising a housing having an outer wall forming an opening therein and a region therein to receive an insect bait formulation, a cover, securable to the housing, and having an outer surface and an inner surface, and a plurality of gates forming gate openings sized to allow selective entry of insects, wherein the cover further includes an aperture with a seal disposed therein, the seal including a slit dimensioned to permit replenishment of the insect bait formulation in the housing while essentially preventing the undesirable escape of insect bait station formulation therethrough. A method of inserting insect bait formulation into the insect bait station is provided, as well as an improved construction to for mounting the insect bait station into the ground, in which a security stake is provided that includes a longitudinal body having a channel formed therein for releaseably receiving at least a portion of the anchoring stake therein, the longitudinal body preferably including a plurality of ribs that comprise a plurality of anchoring barbs along the surface thereof, wherein the anchoring barbs are angled along the surface of the body such that when at least some of the anchoring barbs are below the surface of the ground, the security stake is resistible to an upward pressure in a direction away from the ground.

Insect bait station

A dispensing system for use in an area of interest, the system comprising at least one device for sanitize conditioning a medium, a sentry for detecting an object and for communicating with the at least one device, the sentry itself comprising a detector for detecting the object and a controller, operatively coupled to the detector, for maintaining a count of the number of objects detected by the detector, wherein the controller transmits one or more variables, based on the count, to the at least one device to cause the at least one device to sanitize condition the medium in accordance with the one or more variables.

Intelligent demand-based dispensing system

A dispenser for an aerosol container is presented. The dispenser includes a housing sized to permit at least partial insertion thereinto of an aerosol container having an aerosol supply tube; and a dispenser conduit, having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end of the conduit being in operative connection with the housing such that the aerosol supply tube of an aerosol container inserted into the housing is operatively connected to the conduit such that it supplies the contents of the aerosol container to the conduit for dispensing through the distal end of the conduit.

Dispenser

A programmable dispenser, especially for dispensing an olfactory stimulating material from a source of the material, is presented. More particularly, the present invention relates to a dispenser for an olfactory stimulating material, such as an air freshener composition, wherein the dispenser can be programmed so as to be operational within a wide variety of operating modes, such as starting and ending operations at specific times during the day, being operational during specific days of the week, and dispensing frequency (i.e., in the case of an aerosol or pump source) and/or intensity (i.e., in the case of a gel or cartridge source).

Programmable dispenser

An inline sanitary conditioning system for a toilet or urinal system comprises a hollow body plumbed into a flush line between the flush valve and the bowl of the toilet or urinal. A cage is mounted to into a chamber in the body through which the flush water passes. A solid tablet comprised of a soluble sanitary conditioning material is retained in the cage so that actuation of the flush valve causes water to flow through the upper end of the body into the chamber to dissolve a portion of the solid tablet to form a sanitary conditioning solution which is delivered to the bowl of the toilet or urinal. Preferably, electronic sensing apparatus are provided to detect users of the urinal or toilet, count the number of users, and activate a signal to alert maintenance personnel of the need to replace the sanitary conditioning tablet after 2000 or more users (or any other number) have been counted or predetermined number of days have elapsed.

Inline sanitary conditioning system

An insect bait station is disclosed which comprises a receptacle with an opening, the receptacle having a reservoir for an insect bait formulation; a cover with a plurality of gate openings sized to allow selective entry of insects; and a membrane with an opening providing access to an insect bait formulation. The membrane covers the receptacle with sufficient dimensional stability and structural integrity to substantially retain its position while an insect traverses its top surface. In a preferred embodiment, the insect bait station comprises a replaceable cartridge having a reservoir containing an insect bait formulation with a substrate covered by the membrane. Preferably, the membrane having the ability to retard evaporation of the bait formulation. The bait formulation may include an insect attractant and/or an insect poison material in solid, liquid or gel form.

A flexible electromagnet and a method for producing such are disclosed, the flexible electromagnet having a flexible magnetic core which permits directing the magnetic flux as desired. The core is constructed from a sufficiently flexible material such as cold rolled steel annealed to increase its flexiblity. A wire winding is wound on the core which is configured to be straight. Once the winding is complete, the core may be configured and reconfigured as desired. Particularly advantageous uses are in status indicators, especially miniature status indicators.

Magnetic flex core mechanism and method for making same

A small electric motor including one or more field coils which cooperate with a long, thin cylindrical rotor having only a single pair of nonsalient rotor poles. A stator pole piece assembly is in magnetic flux relationship with the rotor and is provided with salient stator poles which each subtend an angle of at least about one hundred and twenty degrees with respect to the axis of rotation of the rotor. In some embodiments the stator poles are arranged in sets which cooperate with different axial portions of the rotor.

Electric rotating machine

A small two-phase motor having first and second field coils which each cooperate with a long, thin cylindrical rotor. The rotor is provided with only a single pair of nonsalient rotor poles and has a length to diameter ratio which advantageously is at least about 2.5. A stator pole piece assembly is in magnetic flux relationship with the rotor and includes first and second sets of salient stator poles which respectively cooperate with the first and second field coils. There are only two salient stator poles in each set, and the stator poles are angularly spaced apart by approximately ninety electrical degrees. In some embodiments one of the stator poles in the first set and one of the stator poles in the second set extend in opposite directions parallel to the rotor axis from a single tubular member which forms a part of the pole piece assembly.
