A Y-shaped support has a head section having a first free end and a second end secured to a leg section, with the leg section having a first leg extending from the second end of the head section and a second leg extending from the second end of the head section. A first connector is provided as a first interlocking stitch, with the first interlocking stitch passed through open leg spaces of the first leg and open head spaces in the head section. A second connector is provided as a second interlocking stitch, with the second interlocking stitch passed through the aligned open leg spaces of the first leg and the second leg to connect the first leg to the second leg. The second end of the head section is located outside a space where the first leg is connected to the second leg.

The tissue fixation device includes a tab connected to a tissue anchor, with the tissue anchor having a suture eyelet. The method includes instructing a user to hold the tab and insert the tissue anchor into the delivery device and breaking the tab away from the tissue anchor leaving the tissue anchor in the delivery device.

Method of preparing a suture fixation device for use in surgery to treat pelvic organ prolapse

Devices and related methods to engage tissue layers to access the space between the layers are provided. The access devices include engagement arms that can be deployed and retracted to easily engage the top tissue layer and allow it to be separated from the underlying layer. The engagement arms are coupled to an actuation rod that is in turn coupled to a switch or lever that allows a user to control the actuation from outside the patient. The engagement arms and coupling to the actuation rod are unique and compact to ensure the entire mechanism fits in a small diameter shaft.

A cardiac lead system is provided. The lead is placed epicardially through the transverse pericardial sinus with integrated curvatures to prevent the lead from slipping out of the transverse pericardial sinus. Interaction with multiple chambers of the heart is facilitated in a single lead, without anchors that embed into the heart wall. Multiple electrodes can be grouped over each targeted heart area to ensure adequate electrical contact.

An implant and suture locking system is provided. The implant can include a lateral or distal anchor, and a medial or proximal anchor. One or more suture loops can extend between and operatively connect the anchors. A medial suture loop can extend through apertures in the medial anchor to provide efficient and easily adjustable tensioning and suture locking for the implant.

Surgical implant system and method

A pump is connected between penile cylinder(s) and a reservoir of a prosthesis. A squeezing pressure applied to the penile cylinder moves a first liquid volume out of the cylinder and into a first chamber of the pump, which displaces a piston inside of the pump. Displacement of the piston creates a vacuum space (a second chamber) between the piston and the housing of the pump, and a second liquid volume is drawn out of the reservoir and into the vacuum space. A return spring pushes the piston back to its starting position, which pushes both the first liquid volume and the second liquid volume out of the pump and into the penile cylinders.

Tissue anchor delivery tool

A tissue anchor system includes a fixation device and a tool. The fixation device includes a tab connected to a tissue anchor. The tool includes a shaft connected between a proximal handle portion and a distal tip. The distal tip is configured to limit movement of the fixation device during loading of the tissue anchor.

A tissue anchor assembly comprises a tissue anchor; a suture; and an adjustment button coupled with the suture. The adjustment button is adapted to adjust tension relative in the suture. When tension is applied to a second suture section trailing away from the tissue anchor, the adjustment button is engaged with the second suture section through locking splines and the adjustment button slides along a portion of the suture to increase a distance between the adjustment button and the tissue anchor. When tension is applied to a first suture section trailing away from the tissue anchor, the adjustment button moves in a direction towards the tissue anchor to reduce a distance between the adjustment button and the tissue anchor.

A penile prosthesis has an energy assembly coupled to a proximal end of a tubular body. The energy assembly has a housing enclosing a piston, a heating element, and a liquid phase change material (PCM) sealed between an interior surface of the housing and the piston. When the heating element heats the liquid PCM to a gaseous state, the piston moves in a distal direction to increase pressure in the tubular body and provide the prosthesis with erection.

A method of treating prolapse of a vagina includes supporting the vagina by implanting a sacrocolpopexy support and locating an exterior surface of the vagina between leg portions of a vaginal cuff section of the support, and securing a head section of the support to a ligament or a sacrum while isolating the head section from contact with tissue of the vagina.

An implantable support is provided to secure an implanted prosthesis in a natal male or a trans-male. The implantable support has a base portion attachable to a pelvis, an artificial ligament coupled to the base portion, and an artificial crus penis recess that is sized to receive a proximal end portion of a penile prosthesis. The artificial ligament orients the penile prosthesis within a neopenis anatomically in a position of a natal penis and in a position adapted for penetrative intercourse.

The support is configured for attachment to a ramus of a pelvis. The implantable prosthesis in combination with the support are adapted to orient the neopenis in an anatomically natal penis position that is adapted for penetrative intercourse.
