A transmission assembly for a powered sliding door system for an automotive vehicle. The transmission assembly includes a rotatable input member, a stationary hub, and a planetary gearset disposed within the hub and operatively cooperating with the input member. The transmission assembly also includes an electromagnetic brake disposed within the hub and operatively cooperating with the planetary gearset to lock and unlock a gear of the planetary gearset. The transmission assembly further includes a rotatable output member operatively cooperating with the planetary gearset.

Transmission assembly for a powered sliding door system

An actuator assembly for a powered sliding door system for an automotive vehicle. The actuator assembly includes a housing having a cavity and a first cable reel and a second cable reel disposed in the cavity. The first cable reel is operatively connected to one end of a cable and the second cable reel is operatively connected to another end of the cable. The actuator assembly includes a transmission assembly being disposed in the cavity and operatively connected to either the first cable reel or the second cable reel. The actuator assembly includes a motor operatively connected to the transmission assembly for rotating the first cable reel and the second cable reel. The actuator assembly further includes a motor bracket operatively connected to the transmission assembly and enclosing the motor. The motor bracket is adjustable relative to the housing to form either a right-hand assembly, left-hand assembly or intermediate assembly for a right-hand and left-hand sliding door for a powered sliding door system.

A cinching mechanism for interaction with a substantially conventional latch assembly includes a cinching gear selectively power driven by an actuator and includes a link between the cinching mechanism and the latch assembly providing a means of manually releasing the cinching mechanism to permit the latch assembly to open regardless of the condition of the cinching mechanism.

A vehicle door latch system including a deadbolt locking mechanism. The deadbolt locking mechanism is disengaged manually from outside the vehicle using the key cylinder. The manual deadbolt disengagement mechanism is effective in disengaging the deadbolt in the event of total vehicle power loss. The deadbolt mechanism includes a power driven rack.

This vehicle door latch assembly incorporates a blocker bar which has a follower operatively mounted within a conical recess of an upstanding block so that when subjected to an unbalancing force of predetermined magnitude, the block will be tilted and the bar moved to a block position in which a transfer lever of the latch assembly is inhibited from turning. An associated intermittent lever is resultantly immobilized so that a connected detent lever cannot be moved from a holding position with respect to a spring biased locking bolt. With the locking bolt so held, it cannot be moved from a latching position with respect to a striker to thereby prevent door opening. When door opening is subsequently desired, an unblocking lever system can be actuated to cam the blocker bar to a release position allowing the transfer lever to be turned by a pull handle and a connected release rod to effect the spring biased movement of the locking bolt to an unlatching position with respect to the striker. A dual lever holding system on the release lever rod and on lock control rod is operable to hold the lock control rod in an unblocking position until the pull handle is released from a door opening position so that the lock control rod is returned to its unlocked position.
