The present disclosure relates to an access joint for an engine exhaust system. The access joint includes first and second exhaust conduits each having a conduit body and a flange unitary with the conduit body. The flanges have first surfaces that face toward one another and second surfaces that face away from one another. The joint also includes a clamp having a channel that receives the flanges and that compresses the flanges toward one another when the clamp is tightened.

Joint for an engine exhaust system component

An exhaust filter having a pleated filter media mounted between end caps is disclosed herein. The filter has a construction suitable for high temperature environments such as engine exhaust systems.

Exhaust filter

A device for sealing a lap joint between two conduits is disclosed herein. The device includes a band clamp. The device also includes a packet or other type of container secured to the band clamp. The packet contains a sealant which moves or flows to void areas between the clamp and the conduits during clamp tightening to provide a more fluid tight seal about the lap joint.

Sealing gasket for a clamp

A pipe clamp including a strap adapted to surround a pipe. The strap includes first and second opposing ends separated by a gap. The clamp also includes a fastener that extends across the gap for tightening or loosening the clamp by narrowing or widening the gap between the first and second opposing ends of the strap. The first opposing end includes at least one projection and the second opposing end defines at least one recess for receiving the projection when the clamp is tightened.

Strap clamp

Clamps for sealing lap joints are disclosed. The clamps include bands each having a main body and bolts mounting flanges located at opposite ends of the main body. Sealing bars are mounted between the bolt mounting flanges of the bands. The sealing bars includes pockets for receiving portions of the mounting flanges. The pockets are defined by sealing legs and reaction legs of the sealing bar.

Exhaust system clamp

A unique composite shipping container (10) comprises a straight tubular sidewall (12) of predetermined polygonal cross-sectional configuration which is preferably formed from corrugated fiberboard. Opposite open ends of the sidewall (12) are closed by foam end caps (14), which are preferably formed from expanded polystyrene to close the container and cushion the product (16) therein against shock. The end caps (14) are secured to the sidewall (12) by tape (18) or other suitable fastening techniques to seal the container (10).
