The first linear element is configured to be inserted into the aperture of the portable electronic device. The locking head also has a movable engagement element coupled to an end of the first linear element opposite from the base. The movable engagement element is configured to be inserted into the aperture of the portable electronic device with the first linear element. The movable engagement element is movable to a position in which the movable engagement element is perpendicular to the first linear element to secure the locking head to the portable electronic device. The security apparatus also includes a lock head coupled to the first end of the cable. The lock head is configured to selectively engage the portable electronic device and is movable by the cable between a first position, in which the lock head is secured to the portable electronic device, and a second position, in which the lock head is unsecured from the portable electronic device. The engagement element includes a wedge-shaped engagement portion configured to engage part of the portable electronic device when inserted into the aperture. The locking head also has a stabilizing element extending from the base and slidable along a side of the engagement element into the aperture of the portable electronic device, thereby inhibiting the engagement element from being removed from the aperture. The head also includes a plurality of engagement elements extending from the base and configured to be inserted into an aperture of the portable electronic device. The linear element is movable relative to the plurality of engagement elements to push the plurality of engagement elements radially outward.
