Aspects of a modular clip for an electric battery module, a battery module comprising multiple such modular clips, and a battery pack comprising multiple battery modules are provided. The modular clip includes a housing configured to receive a plurality of battery cells. The modular clip may further comprise at least one interconnect plate. The modular clip may further comprise a retainer plate including a plurality of top cell recesses, each of the plurality of top cell recesses may comprise an opening to enable wire bonds between electrical terminals of a battery cell and the at least one interconnect plate. The battery module may comprise a plurality of wire bonds between at least one voltage sensing PCB and the at least one interconnect plate.

Aspects of a modular clip for an electric battery, a battery module comprising multiple of such modular clips, and a battery pack comprising multiple battery modules are provided. The modular clip is configured to receive a plurality of battery cells and includes a base portion and a first and second wall extending from the base portion along a length of the modular clip. The plurality of battery cells may be received between the first wall and the second wall of the modular clip. A plurality of openings may be formed in the base portion of the modular clip, each opening being configured to extend around a bottom vent of a battery cell. Channels may also be formed in the base portion and/or base plate that are configured to enable heat or gas escaping from the bottom vent of the battery cell to vent away from an interior of the modular clip.

The modular clip includes a housing configured to receive a plurality of battery cells. The housing includes a clip shell. The clip shell includes a base portion, a first wall, and a second wall. The base portion includes a plurality of bottom cell recesses, where each of the plurality of bottom cell recesses is configured to receive a battery cell. The modular clip may further comprise at least one interconnect plate. The modular clip may further comprise a retainer plate including a plurality of top cell recesses, where the plurality of top cell recesses are aligned corresponding to an alignment of the plurality of bottom cell recesses.

The modular clip includes a housing configured to receive a plurality of battery cells. The housing includes a base portion and a first and second wall extending from the base portion of the housing along a length of the housing, wherein the plurality of battery cells are received between the first wall and the second wall. The first and/or second wall forms a cooling path along the length of the housing, e.g., a gap maintained between the plurality of cells and the first/second wall. The battery module may include a regulator and duct to direct/control air flow to the cooling path in each of the modular clips comprised in a battery module.

Systems and methods for electrical connections between electrical components or flow paths are described. Systems can include a pin having a proximal end and a distal end, a proximal groove disposed between and spaced vertically from the proximal end and the distal end, and a distal groove disposed between and spaced vertically from the proximal groove and the distal end. A proximal garter spring can be disposed around the pin at least partially within the proximal groove, and a distal garter spring can be disposed around the pin at least partially within the distal groove. The proximal garter spring and distal garter spring can be configured to compress in order to mechanically and electrically couple a first electrical flow path and a second electrical flow path.
