A hand controller for enabling a user to perform an activity and method for controlling a robotic arm is provided. The hand controller includes a bar with a grip and a plurality of motors to provide a force feedback to the user in response to the movement of the plurality of mechanical arms. The method involves receiving input corresponding to the manipulation of a bar and providing a force feedback in response to the movement of the plurality of mechanical arms.

Robotic hand controller

A force feedback system and method are provided. The force feedback system includes a communication module, a processor and a motor drive module. The processor is for receiving and processing mechanical arm signals corresponding to a movement of the plurality of mechanical arms and the motor drive module is for activating the plurality of actuators. The method involves providing an interface between a controller and a plurality of mechanical arms, receiving and processing mechanical arm signals corresponding to movement of the mechanical arms activating a plurality of actuators and generating a force feedback.

Force feedback system

The present invention relates to an articulated nozzle system comprising a nozzle cap for directing water exiting the nozzle cap, wherein the water exiting the nozzle cap has an average flow direction away from a nozzle cap base plane. The articulated nozzle system further comprises a nozzle cap driver for orienting the nozzle cap about a central pivot point to adjustably define the average flow direction, wherein the nozzle cap driver is linked to the nozzle cap. The nozzle cap driver can be moved along a plane, referred to as a driver support plane, by a drive module. Changing the location of nozzle cap driver along the driver support plane can change the orientation of the nozzle cap about the central pivot to adjust the average flow direction of the water exiting the nozzle cap.

Articulated water nozzle system

A robotic hand controller, having 8 Degrees of Freedom, with force feedback mechanisms in one or more and preferably all available degrees of freedom is provided. The hand controller is used with a plurality of end effectors such as forceps and scissors. The plurality of robotic arms and the plurality of end effectors are controlled by a surgeon working on a robotic console. The robotic console includes the robotic hand controller which allows the surgeon to perform motion in 8 Degrees of Freedom using the end effectors.
