The present invention is directed towards an animal trap kit and method for luring animals to trap. The kit preferably includes a any well known animal trap in combination with a microencapsulated bait that can be applied during manufacturing of new traps or existing traps alike. The microencapsulated scent may be applied to the trap via brush, spray or adhesive backed tape. The bait can be activated by merely scratching the scented portion of the trap. Alternatively the microcapsules may be constructed and arranged for timed release of the scents, flavors or phermones contained in the bait.

The elevation of human cellular fibronectin monomers having a variably included Type III repeat in a pregnant woman, as early as the first trimester, has been found to precede the onset of the clinical manifestations of toxemia and correlate with the severity of the disease state. The present invention provides a means of detection for and the monitoring of the toxemias of pregnancy, particularly preeclampsia and eclampsia, by the use a marker, human fibronectin having a variably included Type III repeat sequence, ED1 or ED2.

A synthetic polypeptide is disclosed that substantially corresponds in sequence to a portion of the amino acid residue sequence of the 90 amino acid residue extra type III domain of human cellular fibronectin from about position 36 to about position 60 from the amino-terminus. The polypeptide contains about 10 to about 25 amino acid residues. Also disclosed are antibodies and methods of using both the polypeptide and antibodies.

A mouse trap includes first and second telescopically related housing members which are movable between extended and retracted positions. A door opening is provided in one of the housing members which provides access to the interior of the housing when the housing is in its extended position but which is blocked by the other housing member when the housing is in its retracted position. A spring biased striker arm is mounted within the housing members and is adapted to be held in a cocked position by a trigger arm when the housing members are extended. Actuation of the trigger arm causes the striker arm to deliver a lethal blow to a mouse who has released the trigger arm and also causes the housing members to be simultaneously moved to their retracted position.
