The invention includes systems and methods for melting materials to make glass and other materials subject to electric melting that improve the capacity of the melters and/or the melt quality and/or the melting costs and/or the life of tank melters. These systems and methods use one or more of boosting with one or more streams of super hot melt coming from one or more boosting melters, cooling one or more components of one or more of the melters normally cooled using water with a high temperature cooling fluid or fluid suspension and protecting the normally high wear areas of refractory linings by covering those high wear areas with one or more strips of a corrosion and oxidation resistant metal or alloy useful above 2400 degrees F.

Glass and other material melting systems

Disclosed are various reclining and/or declining mechanisms or systems allowing a greater range of recline and an easy way to recline and decline a chair. Optionally, the chair can also have a reclining and declining backrest and a leg rest, a footrest, or both and also optional storage compartments. The reclining and/or declining systems of the invention cause at least a portion of a vertical or generally vertical support for the plate or frame of the chair seat to tilt with respect to vertical.

Rotating and non-rotating reclining chairs with tilting mechanisms

A reclining and declining chair, preferably one that rotates with respect to its base, having a chair seat frame or plate and having a vertical or generally vertical member that extends beneath to support is reclined and declined by tilting at least an upper portion of the vertical or generally vertical support. Optionally the chair can also have a reclining backrest and a leg/foot rest that can be raised and lowered. The tilting, reclining, declining and raising and lowering motions are accomplished by drive mechanisms that can be manually powered, electrically powered, fluid driven, etc. with operator controls allowing increased range and ease of reclining, declining plus other desirable advantages with these types of chairs.

DEV's (Driving enthusiast vehicles) includes performance vehicles, race cars, trucks, tanks, motorcycles, power boats and the like. Using the invention, a driver or passenger is able to produce, inside the passenger compartment of any vehicle, etc., the sounds that a DEV makes at the corresponding RPM's of the separate engines.

Vehicle sound enhancing system and method of producing

A panel assembly for a traffic noise barrier wall of the type including opposing slots formed in pairs of vertically-mounted posts is described. The panel assembly includes a sheet, which may be transparent, and a frame disposed along at least a portion of the perimeter of the sheet. Side portions of the frame capture at least a portion of the side edges of the sheet and are received within the opposing slots in drop-down fashion.

A self-climbing stage lighting system having a self-climbing apparatus and a light bar is disclosed. The self-climbing apparatus is hung from cables that extend approximately vertically from a fixed endpoint. The self-climbing apparatus includes an elongated support member and a linear actuator that drives travels sheaves along a portion support member. Responsive to the travel sheaves being driven in a first direction, the self-climbing apparatus climbs cables. Responsive to the travel sheaves being driven in the direction opposite the first direction, the self-climbing apparatus descends the cables.

Self-climbing stage light support

An animal waste collection and disposal device of the type which contains a litter material into which animal waste matter is deposited including a pair of opposed receptacles. Each of the receptacles has wall portions defining a litter-receiving chamber which is open over at least a portion of one major planar face of the receptacle, with the open portion of each receptacle being in facing relation to the open portion of the other receptacle. A screen member is positioned in interposed relation between the opposed receptacles. Tracks on the screen member slidably receive the receptacles to interlockingly detachably engage the receptacles with the screen member to permit inversion of the assembled receptacles to, in turn, transfilter the granular litter material through the screen. Abutment members limit the longitudinal sliding movement of the receptacles relative to the screen member to align the receptacles relative to the screen member and relative to each other.

Pet litter separator

An emergency pipeline shut-off apparatus for interpositioning within a fluid transmitting pipe circuit in which a resilient plug stopper is capable of alternative placement between an open and closed position to allow or block passage of the fluid respectively. Remote stopper activation elements cooperate with control members and locking features to position the stopper in the desired open or closed configuration followed by the automatic locking of the stopper in that particular position. The remote stopper control device can be expressly reactivated to be withdrawn from its locked position.

Emergency pipeline shut-off apparatus

A method and apparatus for recovering metal containers of a selected type from a collection of trash is disclosed. The apparatus includes pneumatic and magnetic separators for removing extraneous debris. The separated containers are crushed and weighed. Compensation is issued in response to the weight of the separated containers. The separated containers are stored in an overhead compartment for collection and transportation.
