An industrial automation workstation and display method for scaling and displaying text destined for a target industrial automation device are provided. The industrial automation workstation in one example embodiment includes a communication interface configured to transfer a display data including at least one text string to the industrial automation device and a processing system configured to obtain a target device dots-per-inch (DPI) for a display device of the industrial automation device, render the at least one text string at the device DPI, generate a scaling factor comprising a ratio of a workstation DPI divided by the target device DPI, scale the at least one text string using the scaling factor and generate a scaled text string, and display the scaled text string on a display device of the industrial automation workstation.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable media having stored thereon program instructions to facilitate the display of multiple errors is provided. The program instructions, when executed by a computing system, direct the computing system to at least initiate display of a graphical view of an industrial automation environment. The program instructions also direct the computing system to detect a plurality of error conditions related to machine operations within the industrial automation environment, and to determine a plurality of locations within the graphical view associated with the plurality of error conditions. The program instructions further direct the computing system to identify at least one group of error conditions from the plurality of error conditions based on the plurality of locations, and to initiate display of a graphical representation of the at least one group of the error conditions.

Method and apparatus for the display of multiple errors on a human-machine interface

A system for scaling visualizations may include a human machine interface (HMI) configured to display a visualization on a screen, a secondary display device configured to display a scaled visualization such that the scaled visualization is determined based at least in part on the visualization, and a controller. The controller may be configured to receive an indication that the secondary display device has been coupled to the HMI, present two or more scaling mode options on the screen or the secondary display device, receive an input that corresponds to one of the scaling modes, generate the scaled visualization by applying a scaling factor to the visualization, wherein the scaling factor is based at least in part on the input, and facilitate sending the scaled visualization to the secondary display device.

Systems and methods for scaling visualizations

Embodiments of the present disclosure include displaying a computer-simulated design environment on a user viewable screen of an automation control system, providing a tool within the computer-simulated design environment, wherein the tool is configured to modify the computer-simulated design environment, and generating a visual representation of a first conduit segment extending between a first anchor point and a second anchor point on the user viewable screen, wherein the first anchor point and second anchor point are generated based on sequential activations of the tool.
