A method for stereo loudspeaker placement consisting of applying an acoustic signal having equal amplitude components spread over at least a portion of the audible sound spectrum to a set of stereo loudspeakers to create an acoustic signal, measuring the combined sound level of the acoustic signals at the principal listening position, and adjusting the location of the loudspeakers to ensure that they are acoustically-equidistant from the principal listening position.

This invention relates generally to a method for treating a tumor comprising the steps of selecting a target substance which has at least one component with an atomic or molecular resonance frequency or frequencies different from the atomic, molecular or cellular resonant frequencies of normal cells, locating or depositing the target substance within the tumor, and irradiating the target substance with electromagnetic wave energy at a frequency or frequencies corresponding to the atomic or molecular resonance of the component such that the component absorbs energy from the electromagnetic wave, resulting in the release of heat sufficient to destroy, terminate or slow the growth of the tumor without adversely affecting the viability of normal cells.

Method for treating tumors

A cable assembly for connection between an audio amplifier and a loudspeaker in which a plurality of insulated electrical signal-conducting wires, or conductors are bundled together. The conductors are formed into two groups, one of which is connected between the positive terminals of the amplifier and the loudspeaker and the other of which is connected between the negative terminals of the amplifier and loudspeaker. The number of conductors and the diameter of each conductor is chosen and the design is such that the characteristic impedance of the cable assembly is within the range of the impedance of the loudspeaker. Method and apparatus for correcting distortion in a CD recording and playback system is disclosed. In an improved CD recording and playback system of the present invention, a complex reference signal having precisely defined amplitude and frequency properties is recorded on an information track of a CD prior to the beginning of the audio track(s). During playback of the CD, the reference signal is read from the CD and compared with a identical copy of the reference signal, which is stored in a memory device within the playback system. By of such comparison, every discernible and measurable difference between the read and the stored reference signals are established, defined and converted into a difference-information signal, which is used to resolve the necessary corrections that must be made in the playback system to render the two reference signals identical with respect to all amplitude components versus frequency and time components, as well as to correct the frequency and amplitude properties of the playback system in a manner that results in the playback system having a degree of accuracy that renders the reproduced signals virtually indistinguishable from the source signals.

Method and apparatus for correcting distortion in a CD recording and playback system is disclosed. A system for preventing the remote detection and decoding of computer data from RF or conducted signal emissions is disclosed. A simulator is coupled to the computer for emulating signal emissions in order to mask the computer signal emissions. The simulator includes an emulation generator coupled to the computer to radiate signals that fully emulate those radiated by the computer to be protected. The emulated signal emissions are synchronized with the computer signal emissions by a special control unit which receives timing instructions from the computer. A random sequence generator randomizes and convolutes the sequence of the emulated signal emissions so that the composite signal emissions formed by the computer and the simulator cannot be decoded to render meaningful data indicative of that being processed by the computer. The simulator is coupled with a computer to be protected by connection to the I/O interface port of the computer.
