A liquefied gas operated caulk dispensing gun with a housing sub-assembly having an elongate tubular housing defining a chamber for accommodating a tube of caulk, an open dispensing end and an opposite valved closed end portion. A material dispensing sub-assembly is also provided removably connected to the dispensing end of the housing sub-assembly to form a dispensing assembly. The dispensing sub-assembly includes a nozzle, a caulk flow passage communicating with the chamber housing, wherein the flow passage is sized to accommodate a caulking tube outlet. The material sub-assembly also includes a valve controlled passage for selective communication between an inlet portion of the flow passage and the nozzle, and a flow control valve movable between open and closed positions to control such selective communication. A seal mechanism is positioned in the dispensing assembly to effect a seal between the flow passage and a charge receiving portion of the chamber. A valve is included on the valved end portion of the housing to permit liquefied gas to enter the charge receiving portion for the dispensing of caulk, and for venting the charge receiving portion when the housing sub-assembly is to be disconnected from the material sub-assembly. A lever mechanism is operatively connected to the flow control valve for moving the valve from one position toward the other.

Fluid actuated dispenser

A work support unit convertible between work horse and buck horse modes, the unit comprising a set of three generally horizontal cross bars, four depending legs and bracket means coupling the cross bars and legs and maintaining the same in a fixed spatial relationship. In the work horse mode, a replaceable work board is secured to cross bars to provide a working surface and in the buck horse mode the board is removed. In a knockdown condition for transport and/or storage the legs are removed from the brackets and are conveniently strapped to the cross bars.

Work support unit

An economical gas powered starting system is provided for relatively small, consumer operated implements powered by two or four cycle internal combustion engines. A low cost, radial piston starter motor is coupled to a liquified gas energy cell by a metering arrangement which charges a predetermined amount of gas to the motor, just sufficient to start the engine in its operating environment. The system and motor design disclosed develops torque-speed-time characteristics insuring excellent starter reliability.

Gas powered motor and system

A radial motor powered by pressurized gas is disclosed as used for starting the internal combustion engine of a portable implement such as a powered chain saw or lawn mower. The motor is designed for economical manufacture and assembly, durability, and economy of gas used. It includes pistons formed of stiff resilient material that in assembly are snapped onto the outer ends of connecting rods and held in place during operation of the motor without the use of retaining rings, pivot pins or screws. The inner ends of these connecting rods are held in sockets in connecting rod mounting means either by the shapes of the sockets or by the resilience of either or both of the connecting rod and mounting means. The motor includes a rotatable valve driven by a free end of the crankshaft to feed gas to the cylinders. The motor can be assembled from either or both sides through openings in the cylinder block, and the pistons can be snapped on the connecting rods through the ends of the cylinders, which are thereafter closed. Also disclosed is a gas supply system embodying a control valve and a plenum chamber which is charged from a suitable source to provide only a predetermined amount of pressurized gas for starting the engine. Plenum chambers are disclosed embodying means for varying the gas volume and for heating the gas to improve power gas use economy.

Gas powered motor

A work-supporting device such as a sawhorse that is light and strong and which can be easily assembled and knocked down into a compact form without requiring any screws, bolts, clamps or similar fastening devices. The sawhorse has a cross beam with vertical, rectangular, hollow recesses extending from its bottom side into which at least two pairs of legs may be inserted. The legs are shaped so as to provide a wedging fit within the recesses and an interlock is also provided between the legs and the cross beam so that the legs remain securely in place, although they can be readily inserted and removed. The sawhorse preferably is made from a structural foam thermoplastic material having sufficient strength that the sawhorse is capable of supporting heavy loads. The material will not rot, splinter, warp or rust. The legs may be arranged to support horizontal shelves if desired and the cross beam into which the legs are inserted may be made in different shapes to suit different purposes, for example, to constitute a sawbuck.

Work-supporting device

A sawhorse which is easily assembled and is portable, light and compact when knocked-down. The sawhorse has a horizontal cross beam with several vertical, rectangular, hollow recesses extending from its bottom side. At least two pairs of legs are attached to the cross beam by inserting the ends of a pair of legs into a single vertical recess. Each leg has a wedge-shaped upper end allowing the pair of legs to be wedged into engagement with the recess. The sawhorse is made from a structural foam thermoplastic material, permitting the sawhorse to be light yet capable of supporting heavy loads. In addition the plastic will not rot, splinter, warp, or rust. A vertical brace may also be added between a pair of legs to provide additional stability to the structure.
