A linear actuator with a reversible electric motor (), which over a transmission () drives a non-self locking spindle (), by which a tube-shaped positioning element can be moved axially, in that it with one end is connected to a spindle nut () on a spindle (). The actuator comprises a quick release () for releasing the tube-shaped positioning element () from the electric motor () and the part of the transmission () that lies from the motor () to the quick release () such that the spindle () is set to rotate by the load on the tube-shaped positioning element (). The actuator further comprises braking means for controlling the speed of the tube-shaped positioning element () during the outer load, when the quick release () is activated. The braking means consists of a centrifugal brake (), by which it is possible to provide a construction where the lowering speed is self-controlled when the quick release () is activated.

Linear actuator

An actuator comprising a reversible electric motor, which over a gearing, drives an activation element which can move back and forth. The activation element is of the non-self-locking type. Furthermore the motor and gearing are of a non self locking type. A brake holds the activation element in any position, when the electric motor is inactive, said brake can be released by means of a release mechanism. The motor is used as generator when the brake is released and the generator voltage from it is used to adjust the velocity of the activation element. Thus, a quick release is provided, where the activation element can be disengaged and adjusted evading gear and motor, and where the movement of the activation element, during the disengagement, occurs with a controlled velocity.

Actuator

A linear actuator, preferably for sickbeds and beds for domestic use, comprises a reversible electric motor () which, via a reduction gear, drives a spindle () with a nut () secured against rotation so that an activating element () connected with the nut is moved to and fro in response to the direction of rotation of the motor. In an emergency, the actuator may be driven manually with a hand crank, as a rear attachment, with which the actuator is secured, has a longitudinal opening in the longitudinal axis of the spindle, whereby the hand crank may be caused to engage the spindle. For this purpose, a shaft member is mounted in the rear attachment, said shaft member being engaged with the spindle and protruding rearwards from the rear attachment with one end. Control of the motor typically takes place via an H-bridge so that the motor does not short-circuit when the actuator is operated manually, it is ensured that the motor is not self-locking when the actuator is operated manually.

An actuator with an electric motor which drives an activation element, such as a rotatable arm or a longitudinally movable rod, via a transmission. The transmission has at least two transmission stages, the first one being formed by a worm drive, the second one being formed by a crown and bevel wheel ( ), the bevel wheel ( ) being driven by the worm wheel ( ), and the crown wheel ( ) having a power take-off ( ). The transmission may readily be formed so that the axis of the crown wheel ( ) is in direct extension of the worm ( ). A relatively compact transmission with a high gearing may be achieved hereby, and with worm wheel as well as crown and bevel wheel of plastics the transmission is also comparatively noiseless.

A rotary actuator, in particular for adjustable articles of furniture, including beds or mattress supports, for incorporation in a structure for adjustment of an element in it, e.g. adjustment of a backrest section and/or leg-rest section in a bed or mattress support, said actuator comprising an electric motor ( ) which is connected by a drive shaft with a transmission ( ), which is in turn connected by a power take-off with a planetary gear having a sun wheel ( ) connected with the power take-off of the transmission, first and second internally toothed outer rings ( ) which are rigidly interconnected and have the same toothing, an internally toothed intermediate ring ( ) positioned between the first and second outer rings so that it can rotate about its axis relative to the outer rings, a plurality of planet wheels ( ) in engagement with the two outer rings and the intermediate ring and the sun wheel, and wherein the intermediate ring has a mounting bracket ( ) for connection with one part of the structure, and wherein the outer rings or their rigid connection has a mounting bracket ( ) for connection with the other part of the structure. A strong and comparatively noiseless as well as relatively inexpensive rotary actuator may be provided hereby. It may be constructed with a jamming protection arrangement and emergency lowering function.

Rotary actuator

The invention relates to a modular electrical contact in which the electrical components are separated in a separate module, and in which the others of the modules of the contact are built without electrical components. An advantageous embodiment according to the invention comprises a mechanical motion transmission advantageous for the purpose, where one or more contacts (,) may be activated through pressure operation. The device comprises a guide rail (,) with an activating element (,) which comprises a pressure element (,) and an extension element (,) and arranged with fixing means with respect to the guide rail so that the pressure element is slidable therein for activation of one or more contacts (,) arranged at the end of the pressure element. This provides an extremely simple, sturdy and flat structure which is simple to manufacture and simple to mount. This operating device is particularly suitable for use in foot pedals.

Contact and control module

An electromagnetic valve assembly having upper and lower modules. A standardized lower module can be joined with one of several upper modules having a different axial length for varying the magnetic field strength of a coil arrangement in the upper module without changing the length or position of an armature tube in the lower module.

Electromagnetic valve top part

An electromagnetic valve assembly having a valve unit with a valve seat and a coil arrangement. An armature is slidably disposed in the bore of the coil arrangement. A yoke unit surrounding the coil arrangement is in two parts having cooperating longitudinally extending edges forming two axially extending air gaps on diametrically opposite sides of the yoke unit. End flange portions of the two parts of the yoke unit are cut to form articulated tabs which facilitate the forming of the flange end portions.

Plunger armature magnetic arrangement

An electromagnetic valve assembly having a valve unit with a valve seat and a coil arrangement. An armature is slidably disposed in the bore of the coil arrangement and has one end cooperable with a core head to form an air gap and at the other end a closure device cooperable with the valve seat. The closure device has a ring shaped mounting part attached to the armature and a closure element in the form of a radially inwardly extending tongue-like part which is resiliently connected to the mounting part and is cooperable with the valve seat to maximize the operating effects of the coil arrangement.
