A conducted electrical weapon ('CEW') comprises one or more mechanisms for receiving, aligning, and maintaining a position of a magazine within a bay of the CEW. Bias spring and datums may be used to align the magazine to be coupled to the CEW, wherein bias springs are configured to apply pressure to push the magazine to interact with datums to align the magazine. A spring and ramp mechanism may be used to maintain a position of the magazine coupled to the bay of the CEW. Respective grades of a locking ramp and a release ramp are used to lock a spring in place when a magazine is coupled to the bay of the CEW.

Magazines of conducted electrical weapons (CEW) comprise a set of magnetic elements having positions, polarities, and magnitudes corresponding to a type of magazine. The CEW uses sensors to detect an indicator magnet indicating that a magazine is inserted into a bay of the CEW. The CEW additionally uses sensors to detect information about the set of magnetic elements and determines, based on the detected information, a type of the magazine.

A cartridge for a conducted electrical weapon may comprise a body having a first end opposite a second end and an outer surface opposite an inner surface. A cartridge inner assembly may be removably disposed within the body. The cartridge inner assembly may comprise a propulsion module, a plug, a piston, and/or a retaining clip. The cartridge inner assembly may be configured to cause deployment of an electrode. The electrode may be mechanically and electrically coupled to the piston.

A cartridge for a conducted electrical weapon may comprise a body having a first end opposite a second end and an outer surface opposite an inner surface. A projectile may be disposed within the body. The inner surface of the body may define a plurality of grooves extending from the first end of the body to a location within the body.

A conducted electrical weapon may include an interposer. The interposer may be disposed in a bay of the conducted electrical weapon or may be coupled to a magazine insertable within the bay of the conducted electrical weapon. The interposer may include a cartridge separator. The cartridge separator may logically or physically define a plurality of cartridge compartments. Each cartridge compartment may be configured to receive and align with a cartridge loaded into a magazine.

In some embodiments, the bezel may be formed of a substantially conductive material to form the conductive circuit path. In other embodiments the bezel may be formed of a substantially non-conductive material and may include a conductive antenna pattern located on a surface of the bezel to form the conductive circuit path. A wearable electronic device includes a first member and a second member. The second member includes a first, RF-attenuating, portion and a second, electrically conductive portion. A gap exists between the first member and at least the second portion of the second member. One or more transmitter/receivers, such as one or more BLUETOOTH&#xae;, BLUETOOTH&#xae; low energy, and/or IEEE 802.11 transceivers may be mounted in the first member. The one or more transmitter/receivers are conductively coupled to the second portion of the second member. RF signals generated by the one or more transceivers are emitted from the second portion of the second member.

An example customizable wearable electronic device includes a housing bottom member, a housing top member including a radio frequency (RF) attenuating portion that includes a material that attenuates RF energy and an RF conducting portion that includes an electrically-conductive material, the housing top member separated from the housing bottom member by an electrical isolation gap member, an electrically-conductive contact to couple the RF conducting portion of the top housing member to a communication module in the customizable wearable electronic device, and a customization part selected from a plurality of different customization parts having respective different configurations, the selected customization part electrically coupled to the RF conducting portion of the housing top member when the selected customization part is assembled to the housing top member.
