A method, apparatus, and computer program product are provided for dynamically updating database tables by generating dynamic field tracking forms. The method retrieves, based on an application bundle, values associated with a plurality of fields from a database, and dynamically generates and transmits a structured document and associated script based on the retrieved values. The method further receives an indication of a custom field, stores the custom field and associated values, and dynamically re-generates and re-transmits an updated structured document to allow for real-time or near real-time customization and database storage.

A method is performed for defining optimal landing location(s) of horizontal wells for hydraulic fracturing stimulation, for improved well performance of unconventional reservoirs. The method includes evaluating one or more planes of weakness, pinch-out points, or thin rock layering in the reservoir that may impede hydraulic fracture growth or may close fractured sections during production. The method can include conducting detailed analysis on core and open hole logs, and defining the presence, density, orientation, spacing, and mechanical properties of various thin interfaces and barriers in the rock mass. The method can include classifying the barriers or thin interfaces based on their effect on hydraulic fracture growth or fracture connectivity, and on uncertainty of their effect.

An execution apparatus () such as a user PC identifies that translation of generic code representation is required (e.g. Java bytecode included or referenced as part of a web page downloaded from a content provider ()), and requests a translation of the generic code representation from a remote translation apparatus (), i.e. a translation server. A translated native code version of the generic code representation specific to a particular execution environment () is identified and sent from the translation apparatus () immediately ready for native execution on the execution apparatus () at full native speed. This avoids perceived slow start-up and unresponsiveness associated with interpretation or compilation of generic code representation at the execution apparatus ().

A method of forming an isolation structure in a semiconductor substrate is described. A trench is first etched into a semiconductor substrate. A first oxide layer is then formed with the trench. The first oxide layer is subjected to a nitrogen-oxide gas ambient and is annealed to form an oxy-nitride surface on the first oxide layer and a silicon-oxynitride interface between the first oxide layer and the semiconductor substrate. A second oxide layer is then deposited over the oxy-nitride surface of the first oxide layer. The method and isolation structure of the present invention prevents dopant outdiffusion, reduces trench stresses, allows more uniform growth of thin gate oxides, and permits the use of thinner gate oxides.
