Polymers of naphthalene tetracarboxylic diimide dimmers are provided. The polymers are of the Formula I wherein the A units are selected from and Formula IX The polymers are suitable for use in the active layer of an imaging member and exhibit properties of both a binder and an electron-transporting material.

Polymers of napthalene tetracarboxylic diimide dimers

An aromatic silicon-containing compound has the formula:Ar&#x2014;[X-L-SiR(OR')]where Ar represents an aromatic group, X represents a divalent or trivalent group; L represents a divalent linking group; R represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group; R&#x2032; represents an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms; n is an integer of from 0 to 2; and m is an integer of from 1 to 5. The aromatic silicon-containing compound can be used in electrophotographic photoreceptors, particularly in outmost protective layers of such electrophotographic photoreceptors.

Crosslinked siloxane outmost layer having aromatic silicon-containing compounds for photoreceptors

Overcoat layers, which may be useful for reducing torque in electrophotographic photoreceptors, are provided. The overcoat layers include a polymer matrix having a particulate inorganic lubricant and a particulate fluoropolymer uniformly dispersed therein. Also provided are electrophotographic photoreceptors that include a substrate and the overcoat layers, electrophotographic imaging apparatuses that include such photoreceptors, and methods for forming the photoreceptors.

Electrophotographic photoreceptors having reduced torque and improved mechanical robustness

A toner having at least one binder, at least one colorant and external additives. The external additives include at least one fluoropolymer. An electrophotographic image forming machine and method includes the toner with at least one fluoropolymer.

External surface additive compositions

Positive-charge injection-related ghosting of images in electrophotographic processes is addressed by electrophotographic photoreceptors that include a positive-charge injection preventing layer that includes one or more positive-charge-injection preventing compounds. In addition, processes are provided for preventing positive charge injection, in which the processes include a step of applying a positive-charge injection preventing composition to an electrophotographic photoreceptor in which the positive-charge injection preventing composition includes one or more positive-charge-injection preventing compound.

A silicone overcoat (SOC) layer having a crosslinked polysiloxane composition comprising a perfluoropolyether segment are disclosed. The polysiloxane composition is the product of the hydrolysis and condensation of a SOC formulation comprising a perfluoropolyether compound, an aromatic silicon-containing compound, and a silicon-containing hole transport compound. An electrophotographic imaging member having such a SOC layer has improved properties.
