A power failure protector circuit prevents spurious output signals from an electronic circuit when power to the electronic circuit is interrupted. The output of the electronic circuit is effectively blocked by a switch. The switch is turned off when the power supply is turned on and remains off until the power supply is interrupted. A capacitor is normally charged to the operating voltage of the power supply and when the power supply is interrupted, the capacitor discharges to turn the switch on during the interval when the operating voltages of the electronic circuit are decaying. The capacitor also provides a power source to maintain the operating voltages of the electronic circuit near normal for a short interval after the power supply is interrupted thus insuring correct operation of the electronic circuit until after the switch is turned on and the output from the circuit is blocked.

Power failure protector circuit

A circuit to provide a fast convenient means of amplifying a low level analog/digital signal to very high voltage to drive a large capacitance of a multi-colored cathode ray tube. The circuit employs two high voltage/frequency planar triodes to source and sink, respectively, current to the highly capacitive load. The 'source' tube receives its control from a low level source through a high voltage/optical isolator and the 'sink' tube receives its control signal in much the same manner, but without an isolator.

Switching high voltage power supply

The invention relates to a power supply circuit utilizing a DC input tied to the primary windings of two transformers. A pulse source drives either primary through a selector switch which selects the desired primary to produce a pulsed transformer output of desired polarity. The transformer secondary windings produce a voltage output discharged by a load supplying capacitor. The voltage output is maintained at a desired polarity and at a peak level by periodically pulsing the load supplying capacitor with the same amount of energy taken by the load.

Electrostatic power supply

A small size high voltage relay package for low voltage control of high voltage lines. The relay package includes a reed switch surrounded by a polytetrafluroethylene tube around which is wound a coil for operating the reed relay. The entire structure is positioned within a casing which is potted with a polyurethane potting material which also extends over the coils and into the space between the sleeve and relay to provide complete encapsulation. The system is capable of handling voltages in the vicinity of 20kv utilizing a 24 volt switching source.
