Correlating devices and clients across addresses may be provided. A first address associated with a client device may be received. When the client device is not connected to a network, first location data associated with the first address may be obtained using a passive technique. A second address and second location data associated with the second address may then be obtained using an active technique. It may then be determined that the first location data and the second location data correlate. In response to determining that the first location data and the second location data correlate, it may be determined that the client device has changed from the first address to the second address.

Correlating devices and clients across addresses

A method for encoding a sequence of packets includes receiving the sequence of packets, generating a parity packet for a first group of packets within the sequence of packets, and transmitting the first group of packets and the parity packet. The parity packet is generated by performing an exclusive OR (XOR) operation over a plurality of packets in the first group of packets and at least one packet in a second group of packets. The second group is separated from the first group in the sequence by one or more packets.

XOR forward error correction for isolated and burst losses over a software-defined-wide area network

Techniques for tracking compute capacity of a scalable application service platform to perform dynamic bandwidth allocation for data flows associated with applications hosted by the service platform are disclosed. Some of the techniques may include allocating a first amount of bandwidth of a physical underlay of a network for data flows associated with an application. The techniques may also include receiving, from a scalable application service hosting the application, an indication of an amount of computing resources of the scalable application service that are allocated to host the application. Based at least in part on the indications, a second amount of bandwidth of the physical underlay to allocate for the data flows may be determined. The techniques may also include allocating the second amount of bandwidth of the physical underlay of the network for the data flows associated with the application.

Tracking application scaling for network bandwidth allocation

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for controlling link selection and aggregation across multiple wireless networks based on a location of a mobile device. A location of a mobile device in a physical environment can be identified. At least portions of the physical environment can be in wireless range of a first wireless network and a second wireless network. Whether to access network services through either or both the first wireless network and the second wireless network can be determined based on the location of the mobile device in the physical environment. Further, a first interface at the mobile device to the first wireless network and a second interface at the mobile device to the second wireless network can be selectively toggled according to whether it is determined to access the network services through either or both the first wireless network and the second wireless network based on the location.

Multi-wireless access systems and methods for efficient link selection and aggregation

Presented herein are techniques for updating detailed maps used to navigate an autonomous vehicle. The techniques include determining that a vehicle has come within a predetermined range of a road side unit, establishing a communication link with the vehicle, receiving, from the vehicle, data sufficient to identify a vehicle type of the vehicle, based on the vehicle type, selecting a map, stored by the road side unit, for the vehicle, sending a query to a neighbor road side unit seeking data to augment the map, in response to the query, receiving the data to augment the map from the neighbor road side unit, updating the map based on the data to augment the map to obtain an updated map, and sending at least a aspects of the updated map to the vehicle.

Real-time updates to maps for autonomous navigation

In one embodiment, a device in a serial network de-multiplexes a stream of traffic in the serial network into a plurality of data streams. The device determines that data from a particular data stream should be reported to an entity external to the serial network based on an event indicated by the data from the particular data stream. The device quantizes the data from the particular data stream. The device applies compression to the quantized data to form a compressed representation of the particular data stream. The applied compression is selected based on a data type associated with the data. The device sends a compressed representation of the particular data stream to the external entity as Internet Protocol (IP) traffic.

Mixed qualitative, quantitative sensing data compression over a network transport

Various embodiments herein disclose scheduling relay of traffic. The method comprises, selecting a second client device from a plurality of client devices. The second client device is located in communication range of the first client device. The first client device is communicating a first portion of a data flow, via a first wireless link, with a first access point of the one or more access points. The method comprises, in response to determining satisfaction of one or more relay criteria: directing the first access point to generate a second wireless link with the second client device; and directing the first access point to provide first metadata including a first set of relay instructions. The first set of relay instructions instructs the second client device to relay a second portion of the data flow between the first access point and the first client device via the second wireless link.

Scheduling relay of traffic between access point(s) and client device(s)

In one embodiment, a device associates a charging coil with a coil identifier. The device sends the coil identifier to a communication module of the charging coil. The communication module of the charging coil forwards the coil identifier to an electric vehicle located above the charging coil. The device receives the coil identifier from the electric vehicle. The device associates the electric vehicle with the charging coil.

Virtual reality for network configuration may be provided. First, topology data corresponding to a network may be received. Next, a Virtual Reality (VR) representation of the network may be displayed on a VR user interface device based on the received topology data. Changes to the network may be received from a user through the VR user interface device. Effects on behavior of the network that would result in response to the received changes may then be displayed in the VR representation of the network on the VR user interface device.

Presented herein are techniques for training a central/global machine learning model in a distributed machine learning system. In the data sampling techniques, a subset of the data obtained at the local sites is intelligently selected for transfer to the central site for use in training the central machine learning model. In the model merging techniques, distributed local training occurs in each local site and copies of the local machine learning models are sent to the central site for aggregation of learning by merging of the models. As a result, in accordance with the examples presented herein, a central machine learning model can be trained based on various representations/transformations of data seen at the local machine learning models, including sampled selections of data-label pairs, intermediate representation of training errors, or synthetic data-label pairs generated by models trained at various local sites.

Training distributed machine learning with selective data transfers

In one embodiment, a device of a tractor unit determines that the tractor unit is connected to a trailer via physical cabling. The device sends, via the physical cabling, a powerline communication (PLC) message to the trailer that includes a service set identifier (SSID) and password for a Wi-Fi transceiver of the tractor unit. The Wi-Fi transceiver of the tractor unit receives an association request sent wirelessly from a Wi-Fi transceiver of the trailer that is based on the sent SSID and password. The device establishes the Wi-Fi transceiver of trailer as a Wi-Fi client of the Wi-Fi transceiver of the tractor unit.

Automatic provisioning of Wi-Fi connections for trailers

In one embodiment, a device obtains sensor data indicative of three dimensional (3-D) orientations of primary and secondary wireless power transfer (WPT) charging coils. The secondary coil is mounted to a vehicle and the primary coil provides charge to the secondary coil during charging. The device detects misalignment between the primary and secondary WPT coils based on the sensor data. The device determines a coil alignment correction to offset the detected misalignment. The device sends control commands to one or more actuators to implement the coil alignment correction by moving one or more of the coils, either directly (e.g., via directly-coupled actuators) or indirectly (e.g., via the suspension of a vehicle).

Precision coil alignment techniques for vehicle wireless power transfer

In one embodiment, a static wireless power transfer (WPT) system (with charging spots and non-charging parking spots) receives a request to charge a vehicle. The device schedules a period of time during which the vehicle is allocated access to a particular charging spot based on scheduling characteristics and one or more other vehicles also requesting charging. The device may then send instructions to control the vehicle to autonomously move from a current parking spot to the particular charging spot for the scheduled period of time, the instructions precisely aligning the vehicle in the particular charging spot for optimum power transfer based on a charging coil of the vehicle and a respective ground-based charging coil of the particular charging spot. After the scheduled period of time, the device may send additional instructions to control the vehicle to autonomously move out of the particular charging spot.
