The instant invention is a polyethylene composition, method of producing the same, articles made therefrom, and method of making the same. The polyethylene composition according to the instant invention comprises (1) less than or equal to 100 percent by weight of the units derived from ethylene; and (2) less than 15 percent by weight of units derived from one or more &#x3b1;-olefin comonomers. The polyethylene composition according the instant invention has a density of equal to D g/cm, wherein D=[(0.0034(Ln(I))+0.9553], wherein Iis melt index expressed in g/10 min, a molecular weight distribution (M/M) in the range of 1.70 to 3.62, a melt index (I) in the range of 2 to 1000 g/10 minutes, a molecular weight distribution (M/M) in the range of less than 2.5, and a vinyl unsaturation of less than 0.06 vinyls per one thousand carbon atoms present in the backbone of the composition.

Multi-layer elastic air quenched blown film structures are disclosed which include: a first layer incorporating a propylene-based copolymer and optionally, a linear low density polyethylene or a low density polyethylene; and at least one second layer incorporating a linear low density polyethylene copolymer and optionally, a propylene-based copolymer and/or a low density polyethylene. Alternatively the second layer of the film structures may contain an in-reactor blend of a substantially linear polyethylene (or a homogeneously branched linear polyethylene) and a linear low density polyethylene. The film structures show an excellent balance of Dart impact, Elmendorf tear (in both the machine direction and cross direction), elastic holding force and elastic recovery.

The present invention relates to film layers and compositions having improved hot tack properties. The compositions comprise at least one ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin interpolymer, wherein the ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin interpolymer may have, for example, a Mw/Mn from about 1.7 to about 3.5, at least one melting point, Tm, in degrees Celsius, and a density, d, in grams/cubic centimeter, wherein the numerical values of Tm and d correspond to the relationship:&#x3e;&#x2212;2002.9+4538.5()&#x2212;2422.2()2.
