An emulsion aggregation toner particularly adapted for use in hybrid scavengeless development includes toner particles of polymer binder, colorant and a surface additive package containing at least one additive negatively chargeable to a carrier and at least one additive positively chargeable to the carrier. The toner is able to exhibit high stable triboelectric charging ability, and substantially eliminates charge through and slow admix in a developer employing the toner.

Toner and developer compositions

An ionographic process which comprises the generation of a latent image comprised of characters; developing the image with a toner comprised of resin particles, magnetite particles, and a crystalline high density wax with a weight average molecular weight of from about 1,000 to about 10,000; and subsequently providing the developed image with magnetic ink characters thereon to a reader/sorter device.

Magnetic image character recognition processes

A process of imaging which comprises (1) generating an image; (2) developing the image formed with a single component pressure fixable toner composition with a resistivity of from about 10.sup.4 to about 10.sup.7 ohm-cm, and comprised of resin particles, magnetite, and a release fluid therein, which toner contains conductive particles on the surface thereof; (3) transferring the developed image to a suitable substrate; and (4) fixing the image thereto by pressure exerting a force of from about 200 to about 400 pounds per linear inch.

Imaging processes with cold pressure fixable toner compositions

A single component pressure fixable toner composition comprised of resin particles selected from the group consisting of ethylene/propylene copolymers, ethylene-co-vinyl acetate polymers, polyamides, and mixtures thereof, magnetite, and a release fluid therein, which toner contains conductive particles on the surface thereof, and wherein the magnetite is present in an amount of from about 50 to about 80 percent by weight, and the toner has a resistivity of about 10.sup.4 to about 10.sup.7 ohm-cm.

Disclosed are single component conductive cold pressure fixable toner compositions with a resistivity of from about 5.times.10.sup.4 to about 10.sup.7 ohm-cm for ionographic development systems and comprised of a blend of resin particles and magnetite particles; and present on the surface thereof pigment particles having absorbed thereon release fluids.

Conductive single component cold pressure fixable magnetic toner

An apparatus in which a latent image is developed with marking particles. The marking particles are transported to the latent image. As the marking particles are being moved to the latent image, they are electrically charged. A supply of marking particles is stored and dispensed onto the particle transport. Wrongly charged particles returned to the particle dispenser are electrically discharged.

Development apparatus

A contact fuser assembly for use in an electrostatic reproducing apparatus including an internally heated fuser roll structure comprising a rigid or non-deformable, thermally conductive core to which is supplied a low molecular weight polyethylene release material which forms a toner impenetrable layer thereon. Additionally, in order to facilitate stripping of copy sheets from the fuser roll structure, a second release material, for example, talcum powder which is chemically inert and a solid at the operating temperature of the fuser roll structure is applied either to the toner images contained on the copy paper or to the fuser roll structure to thereby provide a layer of the second release material between the fuser roll structure and the toner.

Contact fuser and release agent applicator therefor

A contact fuser assembly for use in a electrostatic reproducing apparatus including an internally heated fuser roll structure comprising a rigid or non-deformable thermally conductive core capable of interacting with a release material applied thereto in such a manner as to form a thermally-stable interfacial coating intermediate the surface of the core and a release coating comprising portions of the release material. The interfacial coating strongly adheres to the core surface and prevents toner material from contacting the outer surface of the core. The combined coatings have a sub-micron thickness and therefore represent a minimal thermal barrier to the energy being conducted outwardly by the core.
