Immersion coating system

Coating apparatus including a coating vessel including a vertical wall having a vertical interior surface having a circular cross section and an imaginary vertical axis, an open top and a bottom, a vertical shaft supported on the bottom of the coating vessel, the shaft having an axis aligned coaxially with the imaginary vertical axis of the interior surface having the circular cross section, and a coating liquid inlet/outlet adjacent to the bottom of the coating vessel.

A therapeutic heat transfer pad includes a pad assembly having two sheets of impervious material connected or bonded to one another by an edge seal or seam along perimeters thereof to form a fluid receiving cavity therebetween. The sheets are also connected or bonded to one another by a plurality of inner seals or seams located interiorly of the edge seal to define a plurality of interconnected fluid passages. A pair of fluid inlet tubes extend into the fluid receiving cavity from externally of the pad assembly for introducing a heat transfer fluid into the fluid receiving cavity. The inlet tubes enter the fluid receiving cavity at a common entry point or location and terminate within the fluid receiving cavity at open ends, respectively. The open ends of the inlet tubes are spaced from one another in the fluid receiving cavity and are adjacent and in communication with different ones of the fluid passages. An outlet tube extends from the fluid receiving cavity externally of the pad assembly and has an open end disposed in the fluid receiving cavity for removal of the heat transfer fluid therefrom.

Therapeutic heat transfer pads

A process for immersion coating of a substrate including positioning a substrate having a top and bottom within a coating vessel having an inner surface to define a space between the inner surface and the substrate, filling at least a portion of the space with a coating mixture; stopping the filling slightly below the top of the substrate, initiating removal of the coating mixture at a gradually increasing rate to a predetermined maximum flow rate in a short predetermined distance, and continuing removal of the coating mixture at substantially the predetermined maximum flow rate to deposit a layer of the coating mixture on the substrate.

Immersion coating process

A manufacturing system including: (a) a vessel for holding a liquid; (b) a first member and a second member, each having a flat surface, wherein the flat surface of the first member faces and is spaced from the flat surface of the second member, thereby defining a gap region between the two flat surfaces, wherein a section of the first member is transparent through the thickness of the first member; (c) a liquid delivery system connected to the vessel and the gap region which delivers the liquid to the gap region and the liquid flows in the gap region in view of the transparent section of the first member; (d) a camera positioned to view through the transparent section of the first member; (e) image processing means coupled to the camera for determining the homogeneity of the liquid in the gap region; and (f) liquid dispensing equipment connected to the liquid delivery system.

System using on-line liquid characterization apparatus

A charge generating composition comprising: a hydroxygallium phthalocyanine an alkoxy-bridged metallophthalocyanine dimer, and a polymer matrix comprised of a reaction product copolymerized from reactants including a vinyl chloride monomer, a vinyl acetate monomer, and a hydroxyalkyl acrylate monomer.

Charge generating composition

A rotary atomizer for spraying fluids toward an object to be coated with the fluids includes an atomizer housing defining a central longitudinal axis and enclosing a plurality of feed tubes between an inlet end and an outlet end of the housing, and a shaft rotating about the longitudinal axis and protruding from an outlet end of the housing. A distributor is mounted on the shaft and spaced from the outlet end of the housing, for atomizing the fluids conveyed by the plurality of feed tubes and directing a spray of the fluids radially outward toward the object to be coated. A plurality of injection ports, each communicating with a corresponding feed tube is located at the outlet end of the housing for injecting the fluids toward the distributor. Each feed tube can be dedicated to a different fluid.
