A holder for displaying a printed sheet on a support wall such as the front face of a vertical machine includes a back plate and a cover plate. The back plate and the cover plate can be assembled together in a snap-fit relationship and the cover plate can be subsequently removed from the back plate. The back plate can be secured to the support wall. The back plate has a front face and a channel formed around the perimeter thereof. The channel rigidifies the back plate and serves to space the back plate from the wall. The cover plate includes a flange which extends around substantially the entire perimeter of the cover plate. The cover plate further includes an inner surface which can be placed adjacent the front face to maintain the printed sheet in a flat position within the display holder.

Outdoor display cabinet

The present invention relates to a unique mobile outdoor display cabinet which can be utilized, for example, to store and display automotive replacement parts at service stations. The display cabinet includes an open ended container adapted to contain a supply of the goods to be displayed, and a cover pivotally attached to the container for closing the open end of the container. The cover is counterweighted to stabilize and maintain the cover in either a closed position or an open position. The container includes a stop surface for limiting the pivotal movement of the cover in one direction to define the open position. In accordance with the present invention, the cover is provided with a panel section which, when the cover is in the open position, is spaced above and extends over the open end of the container to shelter the open end and protect the interior of the container. The display cabinet of the present invention includes additional features which are directed to increasing the overall weather resistance of the cabinet and providing superior protection for the goods contained therein.

A unique display rack and support structure for mounting the display rack to a support wall are disclosed. The display rack includes at least one primary receptacle for holding an item of merchandise of a predetermined size and shape in a predetermined orientation. Each display rack also includes a plurality of chutes, equal in number to the number of receptacles, each chute being associated with a different receptacle and extending above its associated receptacle and opening into its associated receptacle. Each of the chutes has a size and shape adapted to hold a plurality of items of merchandise in a stack one atop the other and in a different orientation than the predetermined orientation. The relative position of each receptacle and its associated chute is such that when a single item of merchandise is removed from the receptacle, the lowermost one of the stack of items of merchandise located in its associated chute is pulled into the receptacle by the force of gravity and is oriented in the predetermined orientation by the size and shape of the receptacle. The individual display racks may be mounted on a support wall in a shingled fashion such that the chutes, which act as storage bins, are not readily viewed by a prospective purchaser. Each display rack may be moved from a display position, wherein the chute sections are hidden from view by the display rack above it to a loading position where the chute is readily access and additional items of merchandise may be placed therein.

A rotating display which gives the illusion of simultaneous movement in both the clockwise and counterclockwise directions is disclosed. The rotary display inclues a rotary reflector having a plurality of light reflecting surfaces formed thereon. Each of the light reflecting surfaces is planar and lies in a plane different from each of the reflecting surfaces located adjacent thereto. Means for rotating the reflector about a predetermined axis is provided. A reflective diffraction grating surrounds the reflector and reflects light emitted from a light source onto the reflector and out towards the observer of the display.

Display apparatus including a display surface containing advertising and/or other informative or decorative matter and having at least portions thereof slotted or transparent. Diffraction grating means are positioned to the rearward side of the display surface and means are provided for illuminating the diffraction grating in order to create a color spectrum effect which is projected through the aforesaid transparent openings or slots, creating a highly aesthetically-pleasing effect, the distribution of the colors being changed with changes in position of the viewer. The openings may preferably be in the form of symbol or a composite thereof. The opaque regions of the display surface may, in one preferred embodiment, be reflective.
