A wireless charging system for use with an electronic gaming device is described. The wireless charging system includes an input device coupled to the electronic gaming device, the input device including a touch screen and a virtual button. The wireless charging system also includes a wireless charging device mounted below the touch screen of the input device wherein the wireless charging device is configured to wirelessly charge a mobile communications device when the mobile communications device is positioned over the wireless charging device and wherein when the mobile communications device is positioned over the wireless charging device, electronic game information associated with the electronic gaming device is caused to be displayed on the mobile communications device.

An electronic gaming machine may include an illuminable notification mechanism, which may be disposed on a rear surface of the electronic gaming machine in a position or location that makes the notification mechanism visible to a casino operator. The notification mechanism may include a display, such as, for example, a display that includes at least one tri-color light emitting diode (LED). The display of the notification mechanism may be selectively illuminated in a variety of lighting configurations based, for example, upon gameplay activity of a player of the gaming machine. For instance, in some embodiments, the notification mechanism may be selectively illuminated in any of an inactive lighting configuration, an active lighting configuration, or a privileged lighting configuration. In the privileged lighting configuration, the notification mechanism may indicate that a player of the gaming machine is entitled to a complimentary item (e.g., a free or reduced-price item or service).

A gaming device may include a main cabinet that defines an opening for receiving a button deck. The button deck may include a button deck enclosure and one or more buttons protruding from or otherwise defined along a button surface of the button deck enclosure. A coupling tab may include a signal connector operable to connect to a signal connector of the button deck to electrically couple the button deck to a game controller of the gaming device. The gaming device may further include a locking pin locator operable to receive a locking pin to mechanically (e.g., physically) couple the button deck to the main cabinet of the gaming device. The coupling tab may be pivotally or flexibly connected to the main cabinet such that when the signal connectors are connected, the button deck moves into the opening and the locking pin is inserted into the locking pin locator.

A wireless charging apparatus for use with an electronic gaming machine includes a button deck having a touchscreen video display, where the touchscreen video display is configured to display a touchscreen button at a first location. The wireless charging apparatus also includes a wireless charging device mounted within the button deck below the first location. The wireless charging device is configured to wirelessly charge a mobile communications device when the mobile communications device is positioned over the first location.

An electronic gaming system including a casino management server and an electronic casino device is described. The electronic casino device includes a beacon configured to wirelessly communicate with end user devices (EUDs) of players and a processor. The processor executes instructions which cause the processor to transmit a request for a custom beacon ID, receive the custom beacon ID, and cause the beacon to wirelessly transmit the custom beacon ID to the EUD. The casino management server is configured to receive a connection request and validate that the received beacon ID matches the custom beacon ID. The casino management server is further configured to receive instructions from the EUD such that the player plays a game operated on the electronic casino device by physically interacting with the EUD, wherein the instructions received from the EUD include a low-bandwidth instruction including no more than two bytes.

A wireless charging apparatus for use with an electronic gaming machine includes a pushbutton, a housing supporting the pushbutton and configured to be mounted in a pushbutton assembly of the electronic gaming machine, and a wireless charging device mounted between the pushbutton and the housing, wherein the wireless charging device is configured to wirelessly charge an electronic communications device, such as a mobile communications device, disposed over the pushbutton.
