A flushable catheter configured to facilitate flushing of the catheter down the toilet and for disposal thereof. The flushable catheter optionally having a selected density such that the catheter has a desired buoyancy relative to water. Alternatively or in addition to having a selected density, the flushable catheter optionally includes a water capture element that is contacted by flushing water and captures the force of the flushing water to propel the catheter down the toilet and/or across a trapway/U-bend sewer pipe.

Flushable catheters

A valve that is sealable to an associated container having an interior fluid storage region is adapted to permit and stop flow of fluid from the fluid storage region. The valve includes a valve body sealable to the container and a stem mounted to the valve body having a portion in flow communication with the fluid storage region. The stem is movable relative to the valve body between an open position to permit flow from the fluid storage region through the valve, and a closed position to stop flow through the valve. The stem has a grasping region spaced from the valve body. The grasping region is adapted rotate the stem to move the valve between the open and closed positions. The grasping region has first and second sides. One of the sides has a tactile indicator to provide indication of the position of the valve, the other of the side is devoid of the tactile indicator.

The present invention concerns a pouch for collecting liquid excretions for collecting liquid human waste, said pouch comprising a first and second wall sealed together along their periphery defining an inlet top portion and a bottom portion defining a collection chamber, an inlet opening provided in the top portion of the first wall, and an anti-reflux film provided in the top portion between said first and second walls, wherein the anti-reflux film is sealed along its lower periphery to the first wall by an anti-reflux seal across the first wall, and wherein a plurality of spot welds are provided above the anti-reflux seal and wherein a plurality of slits are provided in the anti-reflux film between the anti-reflux seal and the spot welds.
