A pop-out flag for use along a retail shelf edge is printed on a sheet, with information on the front and back sides of the flag being printed without having to duplex the sheet through the printer. When the flag is removed from the sheet it folds onto itself so that an adhesive trim portion of the front and back sides of the flag come into contact with one another. The pop-out design also allows the liner to remain with the face stock to add necessary stiffness to the flag. A pair of concave, arcuate-shaped reliefs along the fold line permit the flag to fold flat onto itself so that the adhesive trim portion contains no voids or bubbles where the two sides of the flag contact one another.

Embodiments of a store label booklet include a plurality of sheets stacked one on top of the other and connected to a binding that spans an entire thickness of the booklet, each sheet including a planar array of store labels. No release coating is used. When each store label or row is removed from the book, a liner strip remains connected to the binder and a portion of the adhesive lying opposite the liner strip is exposed for application of the label to a retail shelf edge. Each store label may differ in orientation, size, or style and may contain different product information. Location information may be located on a binding of the booklet, on the label, or on both the binding and the label. The store labels may be printed in a predetermined order.

An apparatus and method for enhancing a one-wire bus wherein a translator is inserted between a master and one or more slave devices. The translator monitors the data stream between the master and the slave device and, upon a reaching a predetermined position in the data stream, inserts known data into the data stream. The translator includes: a primary one-wire bus for communicating with the master; and at least one secondary one-wire buses each of which can communicate with one or more slave devices.

A high yield laser printer toner cartridge for use with a Lexmark Optra series of laser printers and a method of modifying the toner cartridge so as to contain a added volume of toner without producing an error message. The toner cartridge including a hopper with a shaft having a first end and a second end extending through the hopper, such that a paddle disposed in the hopper rotates about the shaft, an encoder wheel which measures the volume of toner in the hopper secured to the first end of the shaft extending from the hopper and a drive gear having a face and a limit positioned on the face secured to the second end of the shaft, an arbor including a gap on its outer circumference bounded on one end by a shoulder secured to the second end of the shaft such that the limit is positioned in the gap of the arbor, a torsion spring having a first segment and a second segment where the first segment is mounted onto the drive gear and the second segment is mounted onto the arbor, and a stop secured on the face of the drive gear between the limit and the shoulder.
