An electrographic, dry two-component developer composition is disclosed comprising triboelectrically charged carrier particles and oppositely charged toner particles. The toner particles contain, as a binder, an amorphous, random polyester-amide containing amide linkages in the polymer backbone and is derived from certain dicarboxylic acids, compounds containing primary amino groups and compounds containing hydroxyl groups. A process for using the developer composition to form toner image copies of an original is also disclosed.

Polyesters having recurring units derived from diols and diacids and recurring units derived from p-hydroxybenzoic acid is disclosed. Electrographic developer compositions comprising toner particles containing the polyesters are also disclosed.

Electrostatographic developers comprising toners containing a polyester

A fixing member having an abhesive surface for fusing a heat-softenable toner powder image to an appropriate receiving member is disclosed together with a fixing apparatus, e.g., a roller-fuser device, and a fixing process which employs such a fixing member. The surface of the fixing member bears an abhesive elastomeric fluoropolymer composition containing a crosslinked polymer comprising tetrafluoroethylene repeating units and perfluoroalkyl perfluorovinylether repeating units.

Electrographic fixing member and apparatus and process using same

An electrographic toner composition comprises a polyester resin that is the condensation product of from about 30 to about 100 mole percent 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol, from 0 to about 70 mole percent 2,2'-oxydiethanol and terephthalic acid or any ester forming derivative thereof, the polyester resin having an inherent viscosity of at least about 0.30.

Polyester toner compositions

A repellent composition containing an oil of low volatility having a surface energy less than 27 dynes/cm. and a solid fluorinated polymer such as a polymer of a fluoroalkyl acrylate. In accord with certain embodiments of the invention, a resinous binder and/or a particulate fluorocarbon powder may be added to the repellent composition. The repellent composition may be used to prepare an ink repellent surface for a 'waterless' lithoplate or as a coating on the surface of an electrographic element from which a liquid developed electrographic image is transferred.
