A solids containment device for use in n hydromechanical grease interceptor, sized and shaped to be removably carried within the hydromechanical grease interceptor. The solids containment device includes a containment body with side and end walls, an open top, a wastewater inflow opening and an outflow opening. At least one removable solids separating screen is carried within the containment body, and is located between the inflow opening and the outflow opening. The outflow opening is directed away from the outflow aperture of the hydromechanical grease interceptor, in order to encourage a generally diagonal flow path for the wastewater stream within the hydromechanical grease interceptor, thereby encouraging separation of fats, oils and grease.

Solids containment device for use within or in association with hydromechanical grease interceptor

A subassembly for use in a vacuum inlet valve assembly for a central vacuum system, the subassembly having a valve body with a wiring compartment and at least one press connection detent means and a reversible mounting flange for connecting to the valve body. The mounting flange includes an attachment portion, a mounting flange wall sized and shaped to cover an open side of wiring compartment and press catch connection elements sized and shaped to interact with the detent to secure the mounting flange to the valve body. Also disclosed is a vacuum inlet valve assembly comprising the above subassembly in combination with a cover plate having a rectangular door, a hinge located on a long side of the rectangular door, and a face plate with a vacuum connection opening. In an alternate embodiment the valve body includes a perimeter wall, attachment openings internal but adjacent to said perimeter wall and a snap fit cover to close an open wall of a wiring compartment.

Central vacuum inlet valve assembly

Disclosed is a cover for a tubular duct extending from a planar roof surface. The cover comprises a cap, a skirt and a closure. In use: the cap is disposed outwardly from said duct, to define a headspace outside said duct and an annular space surrounding the headspace; the skirt extends from the rim of the cap in surrounding, spaced relation to said duct; and the closure extends from the terminus of the skirt to said duct and is disposed in spaced relation to said surface. The skirt and closure have vanes formed therein. The vanes are oriented such that: precipitation driven by wind through the skirt into the interior of the cap is directed, as it passes through the skirt, towards the roof; and precipitation driven by wind through the closure into the interior of the cap is directed, as it passes through the closure, away from the duct.

Inlet valve mounting plate with removable protector

A backing plate for an inlet valve for a central vacuum system is disclosed. The backing plate includes a tubular portion, which on one side is secured to vacuum conduits, and on the other side carries a vacuum opening having a rubber seal. The backing plate further includes a removable protective element or router disc to protect the rubber seal, such as for example during installation of dry wall over the backing plate.

This invention relates to an inlet valve assembly for central vacuum systems. In particular, this invention relates to an inlet valve assembly including an inlet face plate, a mounting plate, having a deformable mounting flange, and an electrical receptacle integrally formed with a high voltage wire. In some uses, the inlet valve assembly also can include a low voltage wire which can be used to complete a low voltage circuit to initiate a central vacuum motor. The mounting plate can accommodate the electrical receptacle in a temporary position and the inlet face plate can rear mount the receptacle into a locked position where the receptacle is securely attached to the inlet face plate. In this manner, the receptacle may be mounted to the inlet face plate even though one end of the high voltage wire is already wired into an electrical box.

An exterior ventilation device having a main body with an upstanding perimeter wall and an attachment flange extending outwardly from the upstanding perimeter wall. A plurality of louvers extend across the body adjacent to the other end of the perimeter wall each of the louvers being sloped downwardly and outwardly. A trim ring is attachable to the main body and defines a cavity between the attachment flange and the skirt of the trim ring into which siding may be inserted. The body is provided with a water directing rib to direct any water running down the body from the back of the body towards the front of the body and thus outside of any cladding material located in the cavity between the trim ring and the attachment flange. In one embodiment the water directing feature is a rib and in another embodiment the feature is a groove. In a further embodiment the body includes sloped portions of the perimeter wall and the water directing feature begins spaced apart from the attachment flange and not directly adjacent it.

An exhaust vent cover for closing the exhaust vent when the exhaust vent is not in use is shown. The exhaust vent cover includes a peripheral flange for attaching the cover to a surface and a continuous hollow body extending upwardly from the flange and having an open front as well as an air passageway communicating with this open front. The continuous hollow body further includes an overhang extending beyond the open front, a grill covering the open front to prevent access to the inside of the continuous hollow body, and a valve located inside the hollow body across the air passageway. The exhaust vent cover also includes a sloped upper surface to prevent the valve from being blown open.

A clamp is disclosed for securing pipe to a surface. The clamp comprises a body for retaining the pipe therein. The body has at least two ends and at least one of the ends is securable to the surface by a fastener. In one embodiment, the ends are in the form of outwardly extending flanges with preformed holes for fastening. The body also includes a clasp which is adapted to releasably secure an electrical wire to the clamp. In one embodiment the clasp is a resilient cantilever having a rest position and being biased towards said rest position upon being displaced therefrom.
