A tool for cleaning between hair clipper blades includes an elongated handle with a comb at one end of the handle. The comb has a plurality of spaced teeth separated by openings, and a finger at one end of the comb. In use, the finger is inserted between the clipper blades, separating them so that the comb can be passed through the space between the blades, removing unwanted matter such as uncut hair strands.

Method and appartus for cleaning hair clipper blades

The dry electric shaver includes a pair of movable cutter blocks reciprocatively movable by a drive bar with respect to a fixed perforated comb. The cutter blocks are coupled to the drive bar by a unitary one-piece plastic cutter support having a central body engageable with the drive bar and having coaxial torsion bars extending from the opposite sides thereof, the distal ends of the torsion bars being respectively integral with the midpoints of elongated arms disposed substantially perpendicular to the torsion bars. Each arm carries at each of its ends an attachment portion having an opening receiving a stake on the cutter block in press-fitted engagement. The cutter support is sufficiently resilient and flexible to accommodate varied movements of the cutter blocks independently of each other, while remaining relatively stiff in the direction of movement of the drive bar. A bias spring urges the cutter support and the supported cutter blocks toward shearing engagement with the comb.

An adjustable telescoping mirror is disclosed which may be secured to a surface such as a wall or mirror secured to a wall. The adjustable mirror includes a base having four suction cups arranged in two rows which are parallel to the ground when the base is secured to the wall. A telescoping rod is secured to the base by a first coupling which is located below the suction cups when the base is secured to the wall. The mirror is secured to the other end of the telescoping rod by a second coupling. The couplings have sufficient friction to support the weight of the mirror when it is extended and placed in a desired location, but do not prevent the user from easily moving the mirror as desired. The two rows of suction cups, and their locations above the first coupling, resist forces created by the mirror when it is extended which tend to pull the mirror away from the wall. The location of the first coupling is close to the lower edge of the base so that the device is compact when contracted and folded.

An attachment is provided for electric beard trimmers which spaces the teeth on the blades of the trimmer a desired distance from the skin to produce stubble having the appearance of uniform growth. The attachment may be selectively secured to and removed from the trimmer. The attachment covers the cutting teeth on the blades and includes a plurality of openings which expose selected teeth on the trimmer blades. The length of the trimmed stubble may be between about 0.010 inches and 0.090 inches or more, and is determined by the configuration of the blades of the trimmer and the thickness of the attachment.

A system for opening garage doors in which a radio receiver in the garage, upon receipt of a signal, operates to open the garage door and in which a casing containing a radio transmitter is adapted for insertion into the socket of a cigarette lighter in the driver's compartment of a motor car. Switch means are provided for connecting this transmitter with a source of electrical power to actuate the transmitter and emit a radio signal at a frequency to which the receiver is receptive when the casing is inserted into the socket. The invention also contemplates a radio transmitting device in which a casing containing a radio transmitter is insertable into a socket of any type at any location together with means for energizing the transmitter to emit a signal when the casing has been inserted in the socket, for whatever purpose the signal may be utilized. Further, the invention may provide means for connecting the transmitter to electrical power when inserted into a socket to a predetermined position and means for urging the casing out of the position in which the transmitter is energized when the casing is not being pressed toward this position.

A roller conveyor which includes a channel with upwardly extending sides, the upper portions of the sides being turned outwardly to form a loop with the edges thereof next to the outside of the channel sides. The rollers are mounted on shafts of which one end extends through an opening on one channel side and the other end extends through an opening in the other channel side, and the edges of the turned-about portions overlie the ends of the shaft to lock the shaft in place.

A portable cushion containing a vibratory mechanism. The cushion includes a back padding and a front padding and between these paddings is a rigid or semi-rigid frame member which carries the vibratory mechanism. This mechanism is contained in a casing which is located in the lower portion of the frame member. The position of the casing is such that when a cushion is placed next to the back of a chair with its lower end resting on the seat of the chair, the casing will be approximately even with the lumbar region of an adult sitting in the chair.

Terminal members of an electric tool, such as a soldering iron or the like, for receiving detachable tips wherein each tip has a pair of electrical conductors which are detachably secured to the terminal members. Each terminal member is an electrically conducting member having a longitudinal bore to receive a tip conductor, the mouth of the bore preferably being conically countersunk to facilitate conductor entry. A spring member, secured to the terminal member by a set screw inserted into a threaded opening intersecting the longitudinal bore remote from the mouth thereof, has a portion overlying the bored end of the member, the portion being movable transversely in opposition to spring bias. The overlying portion of the spring member has an opening therein to receive a tip conductor, the opening when the spring member is unflexed being misaligned with the bore, whereby the spring member is flexed to align the opening and bore to receive a conductor, and the conductor is detachably secured mechanically and electrically to the terminal member by action of the flexed spring member.

A hair comb and dryer device which has an elongated casing enclosing a fan, motor and heating device, and which serves as a handle, and a comb structure having a comb element in a plane transverse of the longitudinal axis of the casing, so enabling the device to be used in the manner of a rake. The device includes a passageway having baffles arranged to focus the warm air moving through the device toward the hair just as the hair has moved through the comb.
