An improved sunglass lens laminate has first and second lens portions joined by an adhesive, wherein the adhesive at least one of (1) an ultraviolet absorber in an amount sufficient to block substantially all solar radiation up to about 400 nm, and (2) a dye to provide selected visible light transmission characteristics to the laminate. In a preferred embodiment, a polarizing film is disposed between two lens portions to form a polarizing sunglass lens laminate.

An improved sunglass lens laminate having first and second lens portions joined by an adhesive, wherein the adhesive contains sufficient ultraviolet absorber to block substantially all of the UVA radiation in sunlight. In a preferred embodiment, a polarizing film is disposed between two lens portions to form a polarizing sunglass lens laminate.

An improved method for inhibiting corrosion of precious metal plated objects is provided wherein a thin dichromate film coats the precious metal outer surface and fills the precious metal outer surface pores using either immersion or electrolytic methods employing passivation plating techniques.
