A bed skirt construction is formed from a singular fabric panel. The fabric panel comprises a top edge and opposed sets of opposed corner edging extending from the top edge into the width. The sets of opposed corner edging are respectively fastened together for forming corner seams, which seams bound opposed upper side panel portions from an upper foot panel portion. The seams terminate at a pair of corner vertices having a foot panel crease extending therebetween for bounding the upper foot panel portion from a lower foot panel portion. First and second side panel creases extend from the corner vertices orthogonal to the foot panel crease for bounding upper and lower side panel portions. Mitered corner joints, pleats, and a cap assembly together function to enhance positioned placement of the bed skirt construction upon the box spring.

Bed skirt with mitered corner, closed pleat, and cap construction, and method of manufacture

A bed skirt for positioning between a mattress and a box springs of a bed. The bed skirt has a side fabric panel for covering a first side of the box springs with a corner cap fold at one end for covering a corner of the box springs during use. A foot fabric panel covers a second side of the box springs perpendicular to the first side of the box springs. A fabric cap connects an edge of the first panel to an edge of the second panel adjacent the corner cap of the first panel providing a convertible corner allowing the corner cap to optionally cover a corner of the box springs during use or straddle a bed frame member during use. A cord within the fabric cap frictionally holds the side panel and foot panel in place between the box springs and the mattress during use.

Bed skirt and methods of manufacture and use

A dust ruffle structure sized and shaped to be positioned on and around a lower supporting structure and underneath an upper mattress on a bed comprising: a sheet of dust ruffle material, the sheet of dust ruffle material being long enough to embrace sides of the bed, and a friction fastening structure. The friction fastening structure has a non-slip, friction surface, the friction fastening structure is secured along the length of the sheet of dust ruffle material at an upper edge thereof, whereby the upper edge of the sheet of dust ruffle material can then be tucked by a person's fingers a desired distance underneath the upper mattress in between the upper mattress and the lower supporting structure. The desired distance is sufficient to enable a weight of the upper mattress to compress against the friction fastening structure, wherein the combination of the weight of the upper mattress and a friction force of the friction fastening structure coact to keep the dust ruffle structure securely in between the upper mattress and the lower supporting structure and further provide a resistance from pulling the dust ruffle structure out of an adjusted position.

Dust ruffle structure

A fitted bed sheet foundation and a dust ruffle for placement onto a mattress and around a box spring of a bed. The fitted bed sheet foundation comprises: a sheet of material, the sheet is sized to fit on and around corners and edges of a mattress, the sheet is of a sufficient size so that when it is laid over the mattress a lower edge of the sheet extends downwardly below and alongside the mattress with a lowermost edge area of the sheet positioned in confronting relation to a box spring, and a first fastener, the first fastener is secured at outer edges on the lowermost edge area of the sheet. The dust ruffle comprises: a sheet of dust ruffle material, the sheet of dust ruffle material is long enough to embrace sides of the box spring, a band of flat material, the band of flat material is attached along an upper edge of the dust ruffle material, and a second fastener, the second fastener is secured at inner edges along the upper edge of the band of flat material, the second fastener is spaced in such relation so that the second fastener located on the inner edge of the dust ruffle is securable to the first fastener located on the outer edge of the fitted bed sheet foundation and can then be tucked by a person's fingers a desired distance under the mattress in between the mattress and the box spring thereby providing a fitted bed sheet foundation and dust ruffle that is easy to install and remove on a mattress foundation.

Bed cover structure with an improved dust ruffle

A padlock comprises a battery-powered, built-in alarm which operates when the padlock's shackle is severed or forced open. The battery and alarm can be tested by opening the lock with a key, rotating the short leg of the shackle away from the lock body and then depressing the shackle, or optionally, by depressing the short leg. The alarm is turned on in response to the momentary closing of a switch when one shackle leg moves outwardly upon severance or forcible opening. The alarm may be an audible signal or an inaudible signal transmitted as a radio wave to a remote receiver at which an audible or visible signal is actuated. The audible signal generated at the lock escapes from the lock body through sound ports. Both audible and inaudible signals may be generated at the lock simultaneously.

Padlock with tamper-actuated audible and/or inaudible alarm

A padlock contains a battery connected by electrical circuitry and switches to an alarm sounding device which sounds an alarm when someone attempts to force open or sever the lock shackle or when someone attempts to remove the battery in an unauthorized manner. A test signal of momentary duration is automatically sounded each time the lock is opened or closed in an authorized manner, and this indicates whether the alarm system is operative.
