A T-shaped fan blade arm attachment is disclosed for securing ceiling fan blades to a rotor of a ceiling fan motor. The fan blade arms have T-shaped ends with an elastomeric ring disposed adjacent the T-shapes ends. A mounting bracket has mounting holes with opposed slots for receiving the T-shaped ends of the fan blade arms. The opposed slots are preferably aligned at an angle to the horizontal when mounted to a ceiling fan motor. The mounting bracket has a flat surface exteriorly disposed on the mounting bracket adjacent to respective ones of the mounting holes. The mounting bracket has two cams with lock grooves disposed on interior surfaces of the mounting bracket, adjacent to respective ones of the mounting holes. The T-shaped ends insert into the mounting holes and are rotated to guide the T-shaped ends of the fan blade arms into the lock grooves.

C-connect fasteners () are provided for securing ceiling fan blades () to mounting brackets (). Protuberant members () extend from the mounting brackets (), and have heads () and shanks () which fit through apertures () in the ceiling fan blades (). The C-connect fasteners () have an upper surface (), a lower surface (), and a peripheral edge () extending between the upper and lower surfaces (). An C-shaped opening () is formed in the peripheral edge () for sliding around the shank () and wedging the C-connect fastener () between the head () of the protuberant member () and the upper surface of ceiling fan blade (). Resilient tabs () are spaced about the peripheral edge () the C-connect fastener () and press the upper surface () of the C-connect fastener () into the head () of the protuberant member ().

C-connect fastener for a ceiling fan blade

A ceiling fan () is suspended from a mounting bracket () by a down rod () and a canopy () is provided for concealing the mounting bracket (). The canopy () has a lower end () with apertures () for mounting the ceiling fan () directly to the canopy () in alternative mounting configurations. A cover () is provided for concealing the apertures () in the canopy (). The cover () has a collar () which extends through a down rod opening () in the canopy (), and has a plurality of protuberances () which secure the cover () to the lower end () of the canopy () in a snap engagement. A lip portion () upwardly extends from the cover () to provide a spacer for locating the protuberances () adjacent to an upper side of the lower end () of the canopy ().

A Y-connect fastener () is provided for firmly fastening ceiling fan blades () to mounting brackets (). A plurality of protuberant members () extend upwardly from the mounting brackets (), and have head portions () and shank portions () which fit through apertures () in the ceiling fan blades (). The fastener () has an upper surface (), a lower surface (), and peripheral edge portions () extending between the upper and lower surfaces (). Openings () are formed in the peripheral edge portions () in alignment for sliding the opening () over one of the shank portions (), and then rotating the fastener () to twist the two openings () around two of the shank portions (), pressing the fastener () between the head portions () of the protuberant members () and the upper surface of ceiling fan blade ().

A rotary plate fastener () is provided for firmly fastening ceiling fan blades () to mounting brackets (). A plurality of protuberant members () extend upwardly from the mounting brackets (), and have respective head portions () and shank portions () which fit through apertures () in the ceiling fan blades (). The rotary plate fastener () has an upper surface (), a lower surface (), and peripheral edge portions () extending between the upper and lower surfaces (). Openings () formed in the peripheral edge portions () are aligned for registering adjacent to the shank portions () of the protuberant members (), and then the rotary plate fastener () is rotated to twist the openings () around the shank portions () and press the rotary plate fastener () between the head portions () of the protuberant members () and the upper surface of ceiling fan blade ().
